Just missed the boat on this one, Centerfire had the Korean 75rd drum for $50 when buying 2 or more($55 for one) last week. I hope they bring the deal back! They have a "12 deals of Christmas" promotion. They are currently on deal 3. You are 100% correct, every AK owner should have a drum! I would up the anty and say a drum for each AK!011.gif

You shouldn't avoid chinese, they're great. I think the romanian wind up drums are the best bang for the buck. Wind up is key for me, and I don't buy the korean. Of course russian are the most desirable, then I believe the norinco (chinese) are the next most preferable.

Wind ups load easier and you can store them loaded under no spring tension.

I cant ever get a magazine over 10 rds shipped to N.Y. let alone a drum.. Would love to have one but i dont think jail is a fun place..

Any Chinese (Norinco or Polytech) drum is pre-ban (made, and imported before Sept. '94) and is perfectly legal in NYS.

really? Didn't know that. I have a converted saiga and am currently using 30rd pre-ban AK mags. But at $30 a pop what the local shop sells them for its a rip off.I have a pre-ban 50rd drum for a thompson but haven't taken it to the range just so i don't have to hear anything from people who don't know what there talking about
