imarangemaster 315
Sweet setup! Good job! I got my brake from CNC Warrior. I had one from Combat Hunting, but it was too loose on the threads. Is the bayonet lug intatact on you 332, or have the side flanges been ground off?
Porklops 5
bayo lug id there but ground down to nothing, oh well. no brake on it yet as css was out of the 74 style brake and with the New Hampshire show this weekend i thought i would just wait to see if i could score something up there. this is my third saiga conversion and my first broken tap experience, grrrrrr lol. Porklops 5
yeah that broken tap made want to eat my own face, what a shit show that was getting it out....
imarangemaster 315
Broken taps are EASY to remove. A hardened sharp punch and a whack with a hammer and they shatter. ask me how I know. 7 Saiga restorals done or helped with, and two broken taps. The last one was on my current build. I think they use steel from captured German tanks. Edited January 17, 2012 by imarangemaster
Porklops 5
the worst part is i was doing just that, whacking the crapola out of it. damn thing just wouldnt shatter like i kept yelling at it to do lol

Where did you get the parts from? Edited January 18, 2012 by simjun
Porklops 5
517 delivered from centerfire, 20 bucks transfer fee. Checking my old email from carolina shooters my order for this rifle came it at 128 delivered and thats with no 24mm brake yet. say around 700ish if you dont start putting all kinds of wacky shit on it. I like my Ak style rifles to be very basic.
Porklops 5
buffed the bolt up just for fun, did all the fcg surfaces also and it made a huge improvement in an already lovely trigger
THX1138 7
That looks great, wish my 5.45 conversion would have been that easy. The polished bolt looks great btw. Edited January 18, 2012 by THX1138
ktz784 0
my friend, how did you install the muzzle break on your rifle? Edited January 19, 2012 by simjun
Porklops 5
best part is the 332 comes with a ak74 style front sight block with 24mm threads and everything!! just has a small cover over the threads which is very easily dremeled off, well work the extra few bucks imo. the fit and finish of the upper and lower hand guards is excellent, zero play
gasper44 3
Hey you're somewhat local! Ever shoot at AFS? I think for my next Saiga an IZ332 will be what I start off with for a base. I want to do wood stock/handguard/pistol grip however so it looks a bit different than what I have now.
Porklops 5
hey Gasper, where are you? im in New Bedford. I usually shoot in Rochester or on my buddies land in freetown
gasper44 3
I am out of RI, but AFS in N. Attelboro is my "home" range. It's right over the border and a very nice place to practice at.
