bws1 58
Nothing says get off my lawn like a Huey I beg to differ and am leaning toward an Apache. While at work a few years ago, we had a bunch of military brass and some foreign royality show up at our plant. They were escorted by (3) AH-64 Apache's. Why they had eight hellfires, I don't know. Nor do I want to know why they had 4 air to air missiles. All I do know is that they were orbiting around the building where our visitors were and they were only a hundred or so feet up. I walked outside to have a cigarette, saw the copter and then saw the 20 mm gun on the nose swivel and point right at me. I about shit. It's a spooky feeling to watch one of those things manuver all over the place, but the gun stays aimed at you. When I put my hands up, apparently the gunner got a real kick out of it as the gun started jerking a little bit, as if he were laughing. I, on the other hand, lost my desire for the cigarette and went inside to clean out my drawers. Apache's make one hell of a mess. Have seen some of their handy work, up close and personal. And being on the wrong and very dangerous side of one isn't a place I would want to spend a whole lot of time.

Aksierra 14
This Huey would be a blast to fly. But since the data plate is gone, It would take an extreme amount of paperwork to get this bird in legal standing with the FAA though. Experimental/exhibition category only. Had one of those land at a vets hospital up here once, it had to come in low over my friends farm for some reason. Scared the crap right outta me in the field because I was walking out with my .22 to dispatch a groundhog. I was really hoping he didn't think a bolt action .22 didn't get a response outta that 20mm
Maxwelhse 1,285
If you buy I'll fly If only I had the cash.... I have another buddy that was a door gunner and 2 time POW. Son-of-bitch is tough as nails and speaks his mind. He also had a '69 AMX that I wanted to buy but couldn't afford at the time. I like him!!
bws1 58
I truly envy anybody who gets to own one, but give me fixed wings. Choppers are beautiful in flight, but you can't change the laws of physics. Even with auto-gyro, helo's have the glide angle of a brick.
