Shandlanos 1,470
http://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/eAgendaViewRule?pubId=201210&RIN=1140-AA43Basically, they want to require every trustee on an NFA trust to send in fingerprints and passport photos - as well as notify the local PD that you possess the item. At the same time, they intend to remove the CLEO sign-off in favor of notification.
U.S. Pratorean 1,234
That was the whole point of a trust but I guess the commies want more, Edited January 14, 2013 by U.S Praetorian
mordamer 13
People who aren't going to use a trust would find this change very welcome. I wonder what authority this would leave the CLEO to stop a person from having his paperwork approved? Edited February 3, 2013 by mordamer

read_the_wall 614
Like a lot of other places, we have CLEO's that won't sign off anything. 1) add a definition for the term "responsible person" who comes up with this definition ?
HB of CJ 1,263
I was also told by my friendly, local Class 1 or 2 manufacturer, (?), (he can make Class 3 dealer samples or Class 3 stuff for gov) that the nice friendly BATFE also MAY want ALL said employees to pass the same background check as a NFA individual buying a NFA item. Is this true? Sounds like pure BS to me. Just the employee paperwork delay can make or break a start up manfacturer today. HB of CJ (old coot)

ljarmy84 3
Has this change taken place or is it a proposal? How can BAFTE change it without legislation? What if you already submitted a trust form 1/4? This will both suck and blow if implemented! My other trustee ( my father) lives out of state would this effect it even if the weapons remain in the registered state?
