Venia 249
Does anyone know what information is collected at these gun buybacks? Do they keep records of who and what? Or is it just simply here is a handgun and they give you a gift card and wish you a nice day?
storm6490 2,768
Full amnesty. Criminals can turn in stolen weapons and get compensation for their acts. The weapons are supposedly destroyed and none are returned to their rightful owners. A real shit show that mostly collects broken and stolen weapons.
RipNTear 4
It's all publicity - most of that crap is broken/defective/stolen. The goal is to get large piles of arms to sell the television watching public on the ridiculous notion that most people want to participate in their own enslavement.
misterT 174
Perfect place for a criminal to get rid of a murder weapon, in fact I saw a report last year ( it only aired ONE time) about a cop who got in big trouble for taking a picture of a suspected murderer turning in a hand gun with her I phone. This asshole comunity organizer who was responsible for the gun buy back saw her and came unglued that she dare to take anyones picture.
haugpatr 972
I don't collect any information, I just try and buy guns before they are given to the police.
patriot 7,197
I never bought any guns from the Govt, so I guess they can't buy them back. Dump a box of really junk AirSoft on them. Edited January 24, 2013 by patriot
Lone Eagle 839
We don't have buybacks here. We are too busy encouraging people TO buy.
mixednuttz 123
One cannot "buy back" something that one did not previously own.
Maxwelhse 1,285
I'm looking forward to the ghetto gun shows around here. At the state level I'm solidly red (FTF sales aren't going anywhere unless the fed bans it), but we have a stupid ass liberal Mayor... sooo.... Yes... I'll be there with cash and a sign.

So if you gave away your Saiga collection to a gun buyback there would be no paper trail or record of it? No way to prove or disprove your assertion?

Those damn boating accidents, I know someone who lost quite a few guns in one, he still hasn't been able to get the insurance to pay for his guns....

Sim_Player 1,939
I plan on taking FULL advantage of the one they are supposed to have in Seattle on the 26th. I have 4 old and worn out handguns that are broke beyond repair. They are supposed to offer $100 Amazon gift cards per handgun and $200 per "assault rifle". Maybe I'll talk someone out of theirs on the way to the tables and add to my collection.
