gregomega 929
lost interest in the MKA 1919 a while ago but that really sweet that you get your own receiver with your handle engraved into it.
Anubis 38
Just noticed that I misspelled charging
1919 Shotty 2
I love it, but how did you get that 20 round magazine?
Anubis 38
I made it
Haycock 9
This thread is useless without completed pics!
1919 Shotty 2
I agree with Haycock. Plus that must be a pretty long clip. Still as badass.
Anubis 38
Well, here's a picture from last year at Rocky Mountain 3 gun, but this is the original configuration of my gun and as it sits now. Upgrades are in progress. But if you look there's the 20 round mag I was referring to. I might add, this was the basis for Firebird's new 15 round magazine.
1919 Shotty 2
What MOA are you going with on the EOTech? I just saw that red dot on your shotgun, is it a CMORE? If so what MOA did you go with?
Anubis 38
It's been a year since I've had that C-more on the gun, I think it was 4moa, it centered fairly well on an 8inch plate at 100yds or so. As far as the Eotech goes, I actually don't know. I just picked one up off the shelf here in the shop
Haycock 9
Wow that 20 rnd mag is long! i guess if you ever run out of rounds in it you could use it as a club...
Flatland Shooter 22
The 20 rounder looks like two 5 round magazines welded together plus the Saiga 12 round mag and Firebird coupler. Am I close? I assume it runs 100% if its headed to the Nationals. Are the custom serial numbers available for everyone? I think I'm #23 on the waiting list. It would be a great option. Very nice setup. Bill
james lambert 3,059
Anubis has a way with snatching parts that are first off the machines. Most of the preproduction receivers were to go to test and eval, but he found one that had no name attached Jim

Very nice setup. Bill Yes those were welded 5rnd mags 20 rnd mags will work, but I dont trust them as they will have issues from time to time. I think 15 is max, I have on occasion used a larger mag but only if it would give me a substantial advantage with little disadvantage if it were to fail. Its quite rare for that to be the case. Yes I can engrave custom stuff on a lower, but it would be after hard anodize. Jim
TonyRumore 1,332
I don't believe that is a legal serial NUMBER. ATF ruled awhile back that it must contain at least one numerical digit. I'll see if I can find the ruling and post it up. The "I" should be a "1". Tony

TonyRumore 1,332
I just tried to run down the ruling, and I found the one regarding marking NFA items, in 27 CFR 479.63. In part........ ......alpha characters, e.g. a name, will not be accepted as a serial number. If a name is to be used, there must be at least one numeric character in addition to the alpha characters.......... I imagine it's the same for Title 1 guns, but I've been wrong before. Ignition 9
nice catch tony, on the other hand... it is the ATF; one ruling doesnt mean consistency is to be expected from that bunch

ToysRUs 8
Please anodize it clear!!!! I want one in the white but the the anodizers think it will turn lemonade yellow but aren't 100% sure. IF clear works out I will take it and you can have mine. #6 in line. If it doesn't work out you can film it then!
Anubis 38
I had my Firebird billet AR-15 receiver done clear, and it actually turned out almost OD green. This is an old picture, I've since changed the stock, handguard, and optics, but the receiver is still the same. Edited February 24, 2013 by Anubis
duggr 13
ANUBIS What are all the threaded screw holes in the Tac-12 receiver about?
Anubis 38
It's a two-piece design, machined then assembled. The through-holes are only visible in the pre-production run, not the production run.

I really like the looks of that one. it looks kind of like the ace skeleton with the cheek weld pad added although I cant tell if the tube sizes are different. The anodizer I talked to told me it would turn lemonade yellow. either way it's not clear and in the white...... Edited February 25, 2013 by ToysRUs
gunfun 3,931
Anodizing tends to magnify any variances in finish or alloy. Do a google search for "pk selective" if you want to see the upper limits of anodizing artistry. FBM used to do some fancy work too before they tanked.

Anubis 38
cost of lower????????? $
james lambert 3,059
The lower comes with the ARR ramp and anti walk tool steel pins. We hoped it would be about $300 but manufacturing time is higher than expected by about 1 hour machine time. Jim
