Sell me on an MKA 1919

I have been interested in getting one of these for a while but didn't get one.

I have the cash for one, and Centerfire has them listed for $670, not in stock now but site says incoming soon.

What's the story on these?

I don't think I'll modify it other than add a USA muzzle device.

Are they reliable enough for home defense and occasional range time?

Find someone locally that has one you can try. They sell themselves. The modifications are half the fun. Consider the Firebird 922 compliance version that Centerfire offers. Add a C-more and get after it. That's what I bought.

 

Now that it is broke in, mine is 100% reliable using 5 rd magazines (all that I have available at the moment) and Remington Gun Club shells (1 oz @ 1200 fsp) for birdshot and Remington Sluggers (1 oz @ 1530 fps).

Having both a s12 and a 1919 just means im an equal opportunity shooter... i dont give into the fight between ak/ar style platforms ;-p

I'm in Nashville.

Shoot at Hafners range in spring hill regularly.

You can shoot it.

It has a Firebird Fore End w left charging handle.

Let me know.

If you have another range you shoot at close by I can meet you and you can blow a few mags through it.

Mine is an XN and shoots target loads great!

 

If you wait long enough it will have Firebirds billet lower, HEOS and Stock.

I've put north of 500 rds thru my 1919. Straight out of the box not a single FTF or FTE. The only up grades to date are a couple rails, front pistol grip and a flashlight.
