Lately "Ministry Psalm69" is getting alot of play in my jeep. If you don't remember it or never heard it check it out. Seems right up your alley. Caution though, playing at high volumes while driving WILL lead to careless attempts of unessecary high speed manuvers and the subsequent loss of driving privledges and/or imprisonment by local authorities. Found it in a box of old crap recently and forgot how good it was. Got any recomendations??

I was never in the military but that music had to be a kick ass motivational tool!! I can just imagine the enemy's faces if you came in rockin' some Tool/schism on the loud speakers ala Apocalypse Now!! Like I said though, I never served so all my combat experience is fictional. Great idea for a video though. P.S. Ever check out In Flames?

We got in a SHITLOAD of trouble riding thru Tusla, Bosnia blaring BOLT THROWER...I think the album was warmaster...the TC got an article 15 for "terrorizing the populace" another friend of mine routinely plays Johnny Cash's "the man comes around" in thier Stryker thru a moified PA system..scares the shit out of the jawas I imagine...heheh :haha:

I have been tuned into SOAD since thier 1st album came out in 98/99..my top 3 for pure aggression is:

1. Disturbed

2. SOAD

3. Bolt Thrower

also some stuck Mojo, Tool, Machine head, Fear Factory, etc...good shit..nice to see some fellow metalheads on the boards. :super::super::super:

(BTW Dodge, I think the best track on the new ablum is #8...what's yours?)

been listening to these guys for years now. Its curious how they were investigated after 911 for the lyrics that spoke about the attacks that were written by some unknown, given to the band, and then released on sept 9th of 2001. dont go see them live, its not like the old metal bands that can actually play thier material :) maybe they have gotten better, but when I saw them, and the live videos I have, well, they suck live.

where I live there is a huge musician community, and Im actually involved with it a bit. many bands from my area, met a lot of them.

dodge, you will love this. I was at a bar here and two guys from tool showed up, kicked the band off the stage and locked the doors and played so loud, it was as if you had your headphones cranked to the max 1/4 mile away. not sure how they got away with it for two hours, the buildings up the street were vibrating, and it was 2am. I guess if you are rich, you can just bribe anyone you want to go away. Tool is one of those bands that is better live than on disc. definately a good concert.

yeh well, just because you are rich and famous, doesnt mean you are smart. take actors. they are getting paid gazzilions of dollars to play make pretend, and be clinical psychos.

99% of the entertainment industry has all of two IQ points collectively between them. the only ones with any brains are the producers and writers that sell their screenplays and lyrics/chordsheets.

It is strange that the media didn't go hogwild with that 9/11 thing. Glad they didn't though it would have fucked up a great band. Most curious though....anybody know anything more about that? IMO a great band has a sound that cannot be compared to and/or confused with anyone else. SOAD, Tool, Primus, the origional Misfits, The Circle Jerks, Pantera, just to name a few. I agree it is lame that a 100% studio band with no live credebility can go platinum nowadays, but if it rocks on my stereo I'll buy it.

..find me a metal band that rocks as hard as they do that does NOT have communist socialist beliefs....hell seems like everyone does these days...but they rock hard, so I will listen to them. I'm under No illusions as to the financial support that gives thier cause, so for every leftist artist album I buy, I eat an extra steak, buy an extra box of ammo, and NOT see an extra hollywood flick... penance in all things my son, penance in all things...

You sure that wasn't her new beau Lance Armstrong's bike riding marathon titties you seen instead.

Because he's probably packing more in the old tit department than that old bone skank.

And yeah, the Dixie Chicks rock. :super:

A week with me, and old Natalie Maines would be about fifty pounds lighter plus being a card toting NRA member after working Gaddis's pump "love gun" seven times each night. :killer:

And if not, the bitch's jaw muscles would be too sore to sing any new stupid shit anyway. :chris:

Fuck, I'm going to go and put together a metal band that comes out on stage hollering and shooting shit up. :super:

Have naked biches (like Christina) suspended in cages over the stage and take spunk shots at them too during the concert (Elton, get you gay ass out of that cage). :chris:

Hell, I bet if I do that, I'll have Tipper Gore herself trying to assanate me. ;)

Or has Uncle Ted already cornered that angle?

Shit, might as well anyway. Seems like the stupid liberal asshat rock stars (Aerosmith, for example) are the only ones who seem to be able to pull CCW licenses in restrictive areas like NYC anyway.

Cobra!!!! Where are you when this kind of conversation starts up???!!!

Me and Cobra have led the metal head Saiga club since the days when you could buy one at Dunhams for $90.

Ofcorse we are a little more old school. Cobra with his "Uncle Ted" autographed S12. I guess I dont hafta tell y'all who my favorite band is huh? As a matter of fact, we were just recently sending eachother some classic metal stuff.

You just cant beat the greats! Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Priest, Joe Satriani and the father of heavy metal Les Paul!

Pantera.....Nuff said.

Black Sabbath who created "distortion"

Thomas Dolby (not really metal in the technical sense) who advanced recorded sound and reproduction by decades.

I hate to agree with a Jarhead turned Grunt, but System Of A Down is one of the few who have come around recently who are not another cookie cutter trash band. They have the potential talent and heart to be one of the greats. TOOL? what can I say? TOOL has floored the entire music scene since thier first album, and has continued to do so all the way through to Perfect Circle. I dont think anyone has come out of the hole stronger than TOOL since Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Stone Temple Pilots.

If you dont enjoy metal in one form or another, how the hell do you know your alive?
