  1. In Russia a robber knocked down a man and took his cellphone and unknown device. He thought that device was a sophisticated expensive electronic gadget and saved it. As turned out, the device was a tether (wrist monitor, like ankle monitor) and the knocked down person was a criminal under Restraining Order. So, the robber was found the same day. http://pravo.ru/news/view/109225/
  2. in garage we had a covered pit about 6 feet deep. The temperature there was always above 0 (32F), even at -20 outside. At home we had no more than 10 lbs of potatos, because it began to grow (fertelize).
  3. In Russia most of the people have 7 days stock of food. In the 199x-th almost every Russian family had a months stock of food. I remember we stored several 100lb sacks of potatoes and about 300 lb of flour, pasta, groats, sugar and salt in our apartment and garrage. Every fall we made 30-40 glass cans (bottles?) of pickled tomatoes and cucumbers. And we were not the peasants (my mother was a doctor, my father was a Lieut Colonel in army), we lived in a block-of-flats.
  4. The optimist in Kyrgyzstan learns English. The pessimist learns Chinees. The realist learns how to use Saiga.
  5. A terrorist leader (who called himself imam of Kabarda) was recently annihilated in Caucasus. The beasts had no balls to kill the annihilator, Ramzan, so they decided to revenge on unarmed people in metro. These bastards think they are muslims only because they kill Christians. For myself, I see that the war against the terrorism in the whole world is urgent. I am ready to join in the army right now, but not to sit here and wait.
  6. The worker from IzhMash, who is the member of the www.talk.guns.ru forum, said that for the last several month they had been working 3 days a week, as they had little orders. They get very little money for their job, so qualified workers left the plant long ago. New manager of the plant made nothing to improve the situation, but bought new cars for himself. IzhMash lost the market. People in Russia already do not want to buy anything from Izhmash because of poor quality and high prices.
  7. Two apples a day keep two doctors away. A crate of apples a day keeps the whole hospital away.

  8. It was the rear sight that was crooked in my Saiga so badly that I couldn't zero it. It took me the whole day to fix the sight by filing and welding. The workers of IzhMash have crooked hands and wry eyes, so mass produced goods are poor.
  9. I've just read in The NY Times about 100-700% increase in gun sales. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/07/us/07guns.html?hp
  10. Is there no registration in the US now??!! I believed that filling the forms in a gun shop was the registration. Then you are lucky, Americans. In Russia we pass thorough such a long way towards owing a gun, that most of Russians have no desire to own a gun at all. Every 5 years we must bring all our weapons to police department for re-registration, and every 5 years we must confirm our mental health in hospital. In police department there is the database of all gun owners and the samples of bullet and shell for each rifle (they make the sample shooting during registration). But the most funny
  11. to uzitiger: man, do you really want the hot war? Install Flashpoint and play then. The US or Russia can reduce to ashes not just the someone's fleet, but the whole world.
