  1. I have one. It's far stronger and better made than the ACE stock I have. Nice, solid piece- I think it was designed to be used as a battering ram/door breacher
  2. I have that problem too. What I did was remove the tang that fits into the receiver- it is just bolted on with an allan screw. The rail is still pretty solid be being mounted on the gas block, as well as tightened on top by the top pieces. You still have to use the ajhustment screws in the front and rear to make it 100& level. I don't know any other way to fix it- but I'm glad Chaos bolted the tang on so it could be removed
  3. I have this dumb question again. When putting the rear sight at the 100 yarrd position (or any position for that matter)- do you put it in front of or behind the leaf marker? (behind or in front of the "1" for 100 yards)

  5. Yes, the dust cover slides off, no problems. I already paid in full for the Chaos quad rail- can I cancel to order this, and how much is the extended rail expected to be>
  6. I just got mine in... I haven't shot it yet, I will this weekend, but it's a very sturdy piece, very well made, and very solid when mounted on the barrel. I'm looking forward to the muzzle brake version. Overall, very much worth the wait
  7. Well glad to see the delay is tue to testing issues and that work is being done on it! Hope we have it soon!
  8. I have one. It's large, nice if you have big hands, and there's a lip that prevents your hand from slipping forward onto the hot barrel. It's made of flexable plastic. I'm not crazy about the "snap in" top, without it in place the sides can flex, but not with normal use. The optional rail attachments are too small- they screw on the rail, but anything mounted on the rails will move since it's too small. It does provide much better cooling and ventilation than the stock saiga handguard. Overall it's good.
  9. No offence, but I wouldn't hold my breath on DPH's muzzle brake. I placed my order in May, and have yet to receive it. I called him twice since then, and was told their machinist would be machinining a batch the following week to go out for delivery. I never saw the brakes go back on the web site, and never received mine. No offense taken on my part.....the one thing I cant control is the shop that we use. They give us CNC time just like all of their other customers. We did not fore see the problems with the original design and therefore the CNC time that we had ran out on us. The ne

  11. With Ironwood's stuff, you have to purchase an original style AK gas tube and lower handguard retainer from Dinzag. That lets you use any AK furniture on your Saiga. I just ordered a full set from Ironwood BRG's stuff looks nice, but I've had difficulty contacting him. Don't know if he's still around.
  12. Either the part I highlighted is a typo, or you're getting incorrect info from somewhere. In NY, we can have a mag of any size as long as it's preban. We can have 100 round drums if we please, as long as it's preban. I have preban 30's for my AK and AR. The whole date stamp thing is hit and miss. My pre-ban AR mags aren't date stamped, but they are preban. Some new 30 round AR mags aren't date stamped, and they're post-ban, and no-go in NY. You are right, it was a typo. My mistake. To be clear, you are allowed in NY to posess any high capacity magazine made before 199
  13. We have the same bullshit law in NY. But as far as I know , there are no US made preban AK mags. Preban steel commie mags are easy to come by, though. I just bought 5 used surplus mags in NY. Before doing it I checked the laws. You cannot posess a 30 round mag manfactured before 1994. Supposedly the ones after 1994 are serial numbered, but I've only seen one that was. The also tell the date if there are any different changes i the mag- i.e.- if they were made of polymer, bakelite, etc.... No gun stores really stock them. If you know of a military store or a gun store that s
