    I had a problem with the one I tried to put on. I cut the heat sheild off and it still didnt work. Then I had to grind the bottom out because it would not fit around the barrel. After I got it to fit around the barrel it wouldn't tighten all the way, the top kept pressing the gas tube down and it sounded like the piston was rubbing when iI pulled back on the handle. It did the same with a normal tube also.

    Their is no clear reason, you can have them on a saiga rifle but not on a saiga shotgun

    I used a minwax natural stain an 2 coats of minwax clear semi gloss polyurethane on my wasr 10 wood and it come out ok. Here is before and after.

    I keep hearing about alot of saiga 12's with gas port problems. Is this a very common thing? I have been trying to save up some money to buy one but im not sure now. I dont want to buy a gun that I have to work on out of the box, unless im converting it.
