    Range report

I'm a mechanical engineer and I tend to agree w the above comment about the system not really being "self regulating". After briefly inspecting my vepr 12 last night I saw nothing to lead me to beloved that it is in fact altering its function based on pressure level. I think "non adjustable" may be a more accurate description. These reports of trunnion strike back up my analysis. 3. Please don't turn this thread into a pissing match.
  4. +1 to tony rumores comment. My rail is not only canted, it is visibly not parallel to the barrel. I'll measure it ASAP but my eye says at least 2 degrees. I'm a mechanical engineer with a QC background.
  5. I just got mine tonight and the rail is quite misaligned with the barrel. As soon as the back of the dust cover is released, it pops about .200" to the left and requires a solid push to the right to latch again. My aimpoint was visibly canted. I'm not really too happy about it. I'd be interested in having it fixed but would frankly rather trade it for one that was straight to begin with. For all the hype about molots excellent quality I am definetely disappointed with this aspect of the gun.
  6. Get a Vertical Fore Grip and the problem will go away. I have the SGM tri rail (a deal at $60 from Greg at Carolina) . I got lucky and scored a genuine SAW mil issue VFG which matches my crapco rear pistol grip. It looks sweet with the matching grips and makes a huge difference with regards to the ergo's of the drum.
  7. This is huge. It is true and it is a huge affront to our 2nd Ammendment. I have to go to class right now but later I will be writing my Reps. PLEASE DO the SAME!!!!!!! Think about this........... -----Original Message----- From: SurplusNews@govliquidation.com SurplusNews@govliquidation.com Sent: Thursday, March 12, 2009 5:34 PM To: rlepage@usa.net Subject: Important Notice to Scrap Metal Buyers! http://www.govliquidation.com Dear Valued Customer: Please take a moment to note important changes set forth by the Defense Logistics Agency: Recently it has be
  8. I own a M&P40c and a glock 26 (9mm subcompact). I love Smith, I have three Smith revolver and love them, but I wish I could say I'm as happy as most other people seem to be with the M&P. Unfortunately.....I have this issue with it........ occasionally the slide will lock back before the mag is empty. It seems that the slide lock is being unintentionally engaged. I've heard from others who've had this issue. This is the only type of failure I've had with it. Over 500 rds fired....... bought new. I'm planning on selling it soon. On the other hand my Glock 26 has never failed me
  9. So.......I converted my '109 a few weeks ago. I used a G2 trigger group (I modded it myself). Now when I put it to "safe" the only thing stopping the lever from going up is the dust cover. Has anyone else had this issue? I love the new feel.......there is no comparison between a stock '109 and a "restored" one. Thanks for any input 49gmc
  10. I just got mine last week. It kicks ass. There are small detents on the face that mates to the gas block. You will be happy. $35 is a deal for this finely crafted accessory which solves one of my main complaints about the stock weapon. I am in now way affiliated with MD Arms other than being a very satisfied customer (two drums and the gas plug) ROCK ON MIKE D!!!!!! Thanks for your vision and taking the time to see it through to reality!!!!!!!!!!
  11. ok, I just called ambient weather. he said he'd put me on a list......essentially he's letting me back-order them I'm not so pissed now I guess. they are a few bucks cheaper than they were at ajax. anyhow......he said he got in a shipment that said it was 180 units and it was actually 140 units and that a bunch of people were pissed. he also said no estimated delivery time is available. 49gmc
  12. ok........ now I'm pissed. at ambient weather. I ordered 7 mags. it said in stock. I got an order confirmation: "This email is to confirm the receipt of your recent order from AmbientWeather.com. Please note that your credit card statement will read Ambient, LLC. If you have any questions regarding this order, please respond directly to this email. You can also reach us directly at 480-346-3380 (Monday-Thursday 8am to 4pm, Friday 8am to 2pm, Arizona Time)." I called ajax and cancelled my order that had been on back order for over a month. then.....I get an email
  13. you need to see if you have enough gas ports. there are a number of threads dealing with this issue. 49gmc
  14. JB weld is some badass shit. I think if you bead blasted the mating surfaces it would be worth a shot. Just mask off the rest of the cover and give it a try. I'm a 4th year Mechanical Engineering at the old GMI (now Kettering U.) student and have used JB weld with great sucess over the years. Worst case it comes off and you get it welded on later. just my .02 c 49gmc
  15. 3787 delivered. Mike D. makes one hell of a product and is a great guy to deal with. Thanks Mike 49gmc
  16. I have a stock Colt 1991 A1. I love it......it is basically the first pistol I ever owned. I wish I could say it is the most reliable but it's not even close. I currently own a G26 and previously owned a G17. They're reliability is awesome. Equaled only by my Arsenal SAM-7 in that I've never had a failure with any of them. I've put 1000 rnds through tha SAM7 since I bought it.
  17. I think he means restoration to it's proper......pistol gripped...... configuration. As opposed to the abortion of a trigger linkage it came with so as to be "sporting". NEWS FLASH........The 2nd Amendment doesn't give a fuck about sporting.......it gives a fuck about tyrannical governments......like we seem to have on our hands now that we live in the Obamanation.

    chokes?

I'm pretty sure dinzag could sell you the russian factory chokes or an american polychoke. search a little harder.....there are many threads which cover each style. 49gmc
  19. "Don't mean to jack this thread, but how long did it take to get your saigatech tg? I ordered mine about 1 1/2 weeks ago, and have not received it or heard anything as of yet. I e-mailed Ray asking about the bolt hold open feature when his tg was used, and in his reply he stated that they were in stock and ready to ship." I'm sure you'll get it soon. It took a week and a half or two to get my trigger guard from the day I sent the money order. 49gmc
  20. Thanks....sorry if it was a silly question. I thought I knew....I guess it just surprises me that I don't see more of them set up that way around here (the board). anyhow... I'll try to get pics. thanks again 49gmc
  21. I just converted my s12 last night. I love it!!!!! the new configuration is so much better. The saiga tech trigger guard kicks ass. I've been trying to decide whether to do a folding stock or not. I'm considering designing and building a folder with a folding butt pad to clear the drum. But it would be so much easier to just make a QD stock. Obviously not as tactically sound as a folder ei you might not have it when you need it. Anyhow, after seeing it without the stock and with pistol grip and MD-20 I really want to have that option.....but I'm not sure about the law......It seem
  22. you should really move the trigger. I did it last night. It's easy. I used the saigatech. do it.
  23. Did you mean $50 each? I'll buy 'em all if you really meant $5!!!!!!
  24. Alliance armapoop was all I needed to hear to know I don't want one.
