I asked because there is a debate about this on another board. I thought it would be good to ask since there are many knowlegable people on this board like Tony Rumore, Tom Cole, and others. If someone asking an honest technical question offends you, then don't post in the damn thread. After posting my thread about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and someone bringing up Krav Maga, i decided to do a little probing around on the internet to see what i could find about it. It looks like a most promising Martial Art for those in the Military, LE or just looking for good all around self defense platform. In my ongoing quest for knowledge, i also stumbled across the Russian Martial Art of Systema; and this being the Saiga forum, i thought it would be appropriate to mention it, and see if any of you guys or gals out there knows anything about it? Im curious to know more about this art, but

yeah, i think your right about that! +1 I think a good mix of Muay Thai kickboxing & Jiu-Jitsu would just be a bad ass fighting template! Ive never even heard of Krav Maga till i read this post, and i have to say that it looks really appealing too.

Im curious to know what you did to your rifle to get them to stop banging brass. My buddy has a Saiga .223 and that thing beats brass so bad it's almost always unusable even after the resizing die. it literally caves the side and or shoulder in about 90% of the time...its horrible! thats why he wont put anything but steel cased ammo through it anymore.

+1 on the 6.5x55 swede case info. that saved me the trouble of having to type it myself...lol. HOWEVER, I can't speak for the Saiga .308 as i no experience with one, but i do disagree with your handloading statement on Saiga Rifles. I LOVE my Saiga rifles to death (x39 & 5.45) but i would never handload or waste handloading components on a gun that beats the shit out of brass cases the way they do! These guns were meant to shoot the cheap non-reloadable steel cased European ammo, thus bringing me to my point about BULK ammo in common military calibers! I save my handloading compo

If Dinzag did in fact make that bulletguide, then i would say its fine, but if you feel you were cheated for some reason, then you should contact HIM about this issue... I have several of his products and i can say that he is on of the best there is when it comes to building things for the Saiga's...

Why Bother? you cant really buy .243 in bulk like you can military cartridges like .223/5.56, .308, 7.62x39 and the list goes on...

You're right about the ammo out there, but i think they're going to use this as an excuse to raise prices to recoup losses...its all politics & greed.

Nalioth, will these mags work in an AR at all? They'll work in any .223 Galil (SAR, AR, ARM) They won't work w/o modification in a .223 Saiga (more mods than for the polymer Galil mags). Shit, i didnt make myself clear enough...my bad. I meant will they work in an AR-15 type rifle? Not in the slightest. I'm not sure why you're asking, as the prices listed are from years ago (they've been backordered for a long time). If and when they "come back in stock" you can bet your bottom, they'll be priced differently, and with Impact Guns, it's a good bet that nobody'll get 'em

Why is the Chronograph data not so good? its a long process, but wait a few minutes for the barrel to cool in between shots, for accurate and consistent data. Far as the BC of the 7n6, im not sure, you may want to ask Nalioth or Azrial or someone like them...

thats awesome! id keep that very dear to my hear too. I wish i could get my hands on some of my Grandpa's stuff from WWII, but grandma wont let go of any of it, or claims its all gone, but i know better. I would wear his Dog Tags proudly!

Why would you want an American clone that would probably cost about $1500-$2000 when you can get a Saiga for about $350-$400 and convert it yourself?
