  1. How do i find what the laws are in my state? I cant find anything anywhere...
  2. quick lession... Saiga IS an AK...ALL AK parts will work on a Saiga with the proper amount of know how and gunsmithing skills, but as far as the sights go, Saiga's and AK's are one in the same...
  3. ok...so how is a breach actually used...im still lost on that part? And they double as a brake? did i get that part right?
  4. WINCHESTER bulk ammo is the problem...Federal & Remington work just fine from what ive been told from numerous sources.
  5. Hey guys, my S-12 conversion is finally done and i feel between my own work and Alliance Armament's full reliability service we did a pretty kick ass job on this gun, and now its time for a muzzle devise of some kind, but i lack the knowledge on the shotguns on which type would benefit me the best. Can somebody out there please tell me the real differences between the functions of a Flashhider, Door Breach, Muzzlebrake or do they all function as a Brake as well? please enlighten me... thanX, -RR
  6. They do make a Saiga in 7.62x54r, but for some unfortunate reason, it is not imported here. I'd buy one in a minute too. How long have they made those Jim? What are they called and are they on the Izzy website? Wait, are you talking about the TIGR?
  7. It may seem a dead heat in theory, but a little range time might dispel the notion. I suspect the overheating issue with the PSL will also occur in the AK54r. If so, it is a gun you really can't rapid fire without issues. The barrel of the Saiga 308 is much thicker, giving it a greater sustained fire capability. And the larger magazine capacities allow it to perform roles the PSL/AK54r can't do (at least not well). The only advantage of the AK54r is the ammo price savings. I was in love with the PSL until I took one to the range... Then why doesnt Izhmash just get off their ass and
  8. thats one of the sickest mags ive ever seen! way overpriced, but awesome!
  9. +1 Classy! I know Arsenal/K-var are extremely over priced and they rarely have anything in stock, but I ordered one of the new Handguards for my S-12 conversion and i LOVE IT! the ventilation is really nice and its a really nice compliment to the look of the S-12
  10. This is EXACTLY the reason I would rather pay a lil extra and buy a complete de-milled kit VS a kit without a barrel...WAY too many forgeries going on these days... If im not mistaken the correct rate of twist on a Bulgarian 8" barrel Krink is 1:6" but im not sure...
  11. Title says it all, Im a big fan of the Russian & Bulgarian Krinks, and im looking for a nice numbers matching kit, preferibly WITH Original assembled barrel in tact, but I would like a barrel with the kit at the very least. please PM me with any leads & prices that you may have. thanX, -RR
  12. I may be ordering one from them as well, but i need to find a REPUTABLE barrel for a Bulgarian lenght 545 Krink. I cant seem to to track down a milsurp barrel anywhere, as it seems that Krink parts are getting harder to find. I DID however find a complete parts kit with original barrel included for $1500!!! thats just insane! any leads on combloc spec barrel, let me know...
  13. I was looking at their website just now, and they do look pretty stout, but then again, i have to agree with Nalioth and agree that the good 'ol steel kommie mags are pretty hard to beat! BTW, what with all the holes in their followers? I thought that was kinda odd; maybe quick drainage incase it got submerged in water or something, who knows...
  14. Dude, the pistolgrip lug hole is still there...all you need to do to it is install a grip and put a bullet button or a some other form of CA neutering device and your good to go, they just cant legally sell it without being neutered in CA...I have plenty of friends out there in the kommie state that still have some pretty good stuff thats legally setup!
  15. Are the receivers the same length as a standard AK on a Krinkov or are they shorter too?
  16. What are the possibilities of a Saiga version of the Krinkov in a "sporter" format for us to be able to convert/restore? I really want a Krink bad, but I hear they are getting pretty hard to come by now days...
  17. why? then everyone else is going to want one, and the price of them and shit for them goes up, and they come one step closer to making that DD list, LOL. been in other movies too..... GAMER, The Expendables, Showtime, and TV -Weaponology, Weaponizers Deadliest Warrior,Firefly. that was NOT a Saiga 12 in the Expendables! that was an AA-12 Full Auto U.S. Military Shotgun with a 30 round drum!
  18. sure looks that way dont it! bought time we see a Saiga in the movies!!!
  19. If you've got an "AK74 style" brake, I can't say whether it'll work or not. If your rifle has had it's barrel threads cut at an "off" angle, you're probably gonna have trouble with any AK74 brake (milsurp or aftermarket). As far as milsurp brakes, the pictures don't lie. I've run milsurp AK74 brakes on 7.62x39 AKs for years w/o issue. I've provided the pix and the facts about the military issue brakes. It's ultimately your decision which way you go. Here's the story, I bought some Bulgarian AK-74 Milsurp parts here from another forum user (i.e. 24x1.5mm
  20. Again, "Ak-74 style" brakes do not conform to any standard. Their only required design parameter is that they fit on the gun, somehow. Military issue AK74 brakes are all made to Soviet standards. Nalioth, Were there any comm bloc countries that made a '74 ZigZag Brake specially designed for 7.62x39? I believe your words are true, as you have never led me a stray before, but after reading some of these posts on this thread im a lil nervous about sending a 7.62 bullet sailing through a small hole in a break that it wasn't specifically designed for. what are your though
  21. You might get away with it, and you might not. I don't recommend using a '74 type brake meant for 5.45 on a 7.62 rifle. You can buy US-made 24x1.5mm '74 type brakes made for .30 caliber from a few different companies, e.g. K-Var. I just purchased a 74 Muzzle brake and it came off an AK-74 and just for shits and giggles i took a 7.62x39 round and i put through the hole to see if it would fit and it had plenty of clearance all the way around. unless im missing something...
  22. You can do whatever you want to an AK in CA, you just need to have it properly configured! and YES, you CAN have a pistol Grip in CA and if you know what you're doing you can even legally use highcap mags too if you use a Monsterman or Kydex grip to consider it a featureless build. Believe me...I have plenty of friends that are LEO's and they will back my statement up to the hilt!
