  1. What parts on a saiga 5.45x39 are interchangeable or not interchangeable with those from an ak74??? I'd like to have some spare parts on hand in case something breaks and want to make sure I'm not getting a non-fitting part
  2. It's a reliable as hell sight and just about indestructible. It's battery life is insanely high (battery will probably expire before you use it up). Regardless, the only thing that keeps me from getting it is that I want a 1MOA or 2MOA red dot at most on my rifles as the 4MOA covers up too much of the target--4MOA is excellent for close range, but not so good for longer distances. Aimpoint is also very anal about limiting the warranty too, unlike Vortex optics. Otherwise, the price he's asking is fair for that sight considering how much aimpoint usually asks for them. Now is the price aimp
  3. Most people like myself do the work themselves. If I'm spending over a grand on a gun, it would not be on a saiga. Most people feel the same way as myself, but not everyone. Most of us are on fixed incomes and limited budgets and want to buy a cheap saiga to fix up ourselves
  4. Over $500 and I'm pretty sure that company would go out of business. People mainly buy saigas of any sort because they are cheap and reliable.
  5. Vortex Crossfire 3x9 with illuminated reticle--mounted on a UTG side rail with the vortex 1" rings and the sight leaf taken off. I love it
  6. Someone needs to lock this thread...\ But while we're on it, $275 for a comp that used to be $50??? SCREW THAT. I would rather pay someone with a CNC machine and 3d scanner to make a couple dozen copies of the old design and do a group buy at $50 each. $275 is highway robbery, but hey, if someone's willing to pay...
  7. If you had something an hour or two from College Station, Austin, or Houston, I would absolutely consider it. 9 and 1/2 hr drive is the only reason I'm not jumping on this. I've been out that way before--very pretty country and a lot of exotic game animals in the area for hunting.
  8. 7000 And this "20 second flood control" deal was Annoying for checking numbers!
  9. Dang if you would have offered that to me a few months back at that price, I would have jumped on it Fast. People are holding onto their money right now--everything is hard to sell regardless of how much you have invested in it. Regardless, that's one heck of a deal--don't lower it anymore or I might have to kick myself harder... Goodluck on the sale
  10. How did I miss this??? I'll take one as well if they're still available, let me know. I'd say there's enough demand for another run.
  11. Well it was $130, which isn't bad considering it has an unlimited lifetime warranty and I can't find a single negative review on it. Customer service is bar-none if it's a dud too. I have a Vortex SPARC and people said it was a cheap POS compared to an aimpoint. I had an aimpoint T-1 ($600), got the vortex sparc ($200) and have since sold the aimpoint because the sparc has a smaller MOA red dot and from all the torture tests I've seen is just about as tough (I couldn't tell the difference). Works like a charm on my AR57. These may be made in China, but their products are high quality. I'll kno
  12. Thank you for the info! The pictures are very much appreciated as well! I think I'll go with the vortex crossfire in 3x9-40mm with illuminated reticle with medium rings on a TWS dogleg rail. About $280--not bad for an optics set up!
  13. Ok well I decided to go with the 3x9 vortex crossfire with illuminated reticle---putting it on a TWS dogleg rail Now for the big question---what kind of rings am I supposed to get??? If I get low rings, will my iron sights get in the way of the scope?
  14. definitely hunting--mostly night hunting for hogs. They're usually no less than 100 yards away and sometimes up to about 400--they spook easily. How would one be a benefit from the 3-9 scope over the other?
  15. I would just really like a variable power scope---but I realize now that I do need a spotting scope; I've just been too cheap to get one and thought I could do double duty. Are either one of these decent options? http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-crossfire-3-9x40-riflescope-v-brite-illuminated-reticle http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-crossfire-4-16x50-ao-riflescope-mil-dot-illuminated-reticle
  16. I still have no idea what zoom to get--a 3x9? What do I need to be able to see my bullet holes at 400 yards?
  17. I want to use my saiga 5.45 at 100 to 400 yards and have no idea what kind of scope to get! I want something adjustable, lifetime warranty is a must, can't break the bank, but can't by any means be a cheap POS, has to hold zero 100% of the time. Anyone have any suggestions?
  18. I have a black standard tapco stock for sale--let me know if you're interested.
  19. I have handled the tapco mags and they do not seem nearly as durable as the arsenal contract ak74 mags that are steel coated in polymer. I only have an interest in the arsenal OD green mags. The link you posted is correct, but quite frankly, that's way over priced. There's no way in hell I'm paying $20 per mag for just the color. Please let me know if you come across any used arsenal OD green AK74 mags that are $15 or less each.
  20. If I wasn't already getting 5 from Aim for $50, I would definitely get these from you. I'm getting a rifle from there, so I don't have to worry about the shipping. Good deal, good luck on the sale--it's definitely hard to find any less than $10 shipping on the mags by themselves.
