  1. this is the type of shit at SHOT that makes me wanna whip it out and take a whiz on there table..................."hey guys I got a great idea, instead of inventing something worth while.........lets come up with some dumb BS and see if these idiots will buy it!".
  2. I'm dealing with it much like my Grandfather did. STFU, nod yes, and then just keep moving and doing till they fall asleep. Occasionally run away......yup, I said it.....Just run the F away and take four hours for yourself, anymore time then that and your likely to get your ass choke slammed by preggo rage.
  3. how to get shot 101......what a fucking idiot
  4. One of the best forms of trainging that you can do on your own time is dry firing. Getting to know your trigger break, how your gun points naturally and the draw phase are just as important as actually shooting at a target. I have a friend that's an amazing shot.....when he has the time. When put under pressure to draw, acquire the target and drop rounds in to it, he falls apart. Put your holster on and tape some targets around the biggest room in your house, then practice drawing down on them (the draw phase and acquiring the target) and then completeing a clean trigger pull (trigger brea
  5. This is excellent advice! It seems to be the number 1 issue that's found on used M1 Garands. Rogers, this seems like a pretty good deal, would you have the oppurtunity to fire it before buying it?
  6. doing business from the "throne"! Man I love wireless....."what's the wind sound?" "ummmmm, a hurricane?!"

  7. If using an AR in 5.56/.223 a simple .22lr kit would suffice. The weight is little just a bolt change/magazine change and your good to go.
  8. Happy Birthday you two! I'll raise a glass for you gents tonight!
  9. LOL! sorry man. I got the parts, assembled it, put 20 rounds through her to check for function and then put it all on the back burner till deer season gets closer. Truth be told I seem to have misplaced the flash hider somewhere.......it's still an unsolved mystery at this point , to the point where I may buy another. I'll say that it's a thumper, and out of a 10.5" barrel the blast is "exciting" I'll toss some pics up in a bit.
  10. Sounds like an overcharged round, or at least shows all the signs of it. case enters chamber, trigger is pulled, primer ignites, bullet starts to leave the brass (maybe the case neck was tighter then normal, did you use lube to reload?), case bulges and sticks in the chamber partially, slide attempts to cycle and the extractor (being under intense amounts of pressure) decides it's leaving the scene of the crime when it can't get the brass out. If you changed powder there's a very good chance it burns faster and created more pressure then what your used to with other powders. maybe you j
  11. To keep the gear discussion going, just thought I'd throw out another really nice piece of gear that's SUPER multi-functional. It's called the Crovel extreme #! The handle is longer then most which makes digging, cutting, prying, etc.......... Much easier then all the other multi-tool shovels that I've used. A "pocket" saw is still much better then the one on the crovel, the only other downside that I can think of is it's weight, but at the same time that's why it's so much more capable then other tools. The edgle keeps pretty well for use as a machete/axe but having a sharpening ston
  12. She almost panicked. She kept walking in circles crying “daddy”. I had to keep talking to her to keep her calm. I kept telling her I was ok, but I needed help. I sent her home (about 1/8 mile) to tell her momma that I broke my leg and to call 911. The rain had just started and I laid there getting soaked for about 40 minutes before the ambulance got there. It was the longest 40 minutes I can EVER remember. You sir are superman in my book! Your kid will never forget this, you were lucky to have her there.............that would've been a hell of a long crawl!
  13. OUCH! How did your daughter do in the situation? That looks just downright painful Banshee, I hope you heal up well!
  14. Dogman and Liberty-To each his own I say, I'm by no means am the "authority" on all that is BOB, if it fits the bill for you then go for it. That's just my personal opinion and what works for me.
  15. Never really saw the point on pills beyond snivel meds and maybe a multi-vitamin if that's your daily thing. Still don't, performance enhancement is good at one thing, running the horse (you) in to the ground. It'll take its tole later. I'd consider an energy gel pac maybe, but will most likely stick with little packets of honey. Ultralight backpackers and endurance competitors seem to provide alot of knowledge in this area and one of the main things that's been pointed out to me is that if you don't consume the foods/pills on a regular basis the desired results aren't all that good. 16. Awesome client to have, congrats! Think I should hit him up with that bag design? I forgot to mention that his TACO Mag holders will also hold S12 mags!
  17. It really depends on what your trying to carry. Personal choice is a TRUSS holster (although I need a new one and they don't seem to be responding to calls), I also like smartcarry/thunderwear, undertech shirts, Glock clip or the Zack holster. Lots of options out there, just keep trying stuff until you figure out what works for you. Best of luck and congrats!
  18. HSGI stuff came in the other day, I've bought some of there stuff in the past through private sales but never directly from them. I'll start off by saying there customer service is outstanding! If your one of those people who wants to know exactly where the gear is you spent money on, they send you an "in house tracking number" as well as your shipping info with each order. Shipping was fast and arrived exactly when they said it would. This round I purchased the riggers belt and there "sniper" waist pack, the quality is excellent and as usual will hold up to any kind of abuse thrown at it
  19. The way I see it, just be proud of who you are. If your not then there's deeper seated issues that probably need to be dealt with, pretending to be something your not is only going to worsen an already bad situation. That said, it never takes that long for peoples true colors to show through. Take note, move on and surround yourself with decent people.
  20. Those are really nice, for $17.00 I might just have to give it a whirl.
  21. Owned one, hated it. There great for the city but as soon as they hit the country the backroads just eat these things alive. They also have a really odd center of gravity so any kind of turn feels a little tipsy, this could be because of the independant suspension. The trans also sucks balls.........mine was a 2005, maybe things have improved drastically
  22. Used Ford Excursion diesel 4x4 Why go around a Prius when you can drive over it?
