  1. Sorry dude, I got sucked in so I'm taking you all with me. Safety in numbers right?
  2. Welcome guys! Mario, try looking at www.rusmilitary.com - if not is stock, email them and ask when they expect some in. Vio, those elevated front sights are a big plus. Longer sight radius and well as windage adjustability. Plus the hider looks cool
  3. You can always cut the choked section off and then thread it for the factory chokes. (provided you have enough barrel length to do so.)
  4. Looks exactly like the two I have here - more than likely it's pressed in.
  5. If he can do that, I'd like to see pics of it removed - has he done this before? Just wondering how he determined the barrel was threaded?
  6. Aside from galils - valmets maybe? - any other AK barrels I have seen are press fit, not threaded. You saying your barrel unscrews from the receiver? The built/forged in choke is common on certain models of 12's & 20's, haven't heard of it on the 410's.
  7. lol - that's not a 20 round FBMG mag, it's a factory 5 rounder.
  8. The factory 410 barrel threads are M15.0x0.75LH. I've never seen one without the barrel threaded - 'cept yours...
  9. DLT - he hung at 163lbs. This boy still hadn't ran his layer of back fat off yet. I haven't scored the rack yet. Typically bucks up there run a little lighter on average, I got a 8 point a few years ago in the late season with very similiar size rack, and he hung at 140lbs. My father-in-law's 10 point ran 165lbs. U.S. Praetorian - Yes agreed, a shot in the chest is my first choice unless it's really close like the spike I will go with the base of the neck. It's always sad to see wounded animals out in the woods. We figured the spike had to have been poached since rifle season just star
  10. GunnyR, tell her you'll do it outside Happy Turkey to all! I'll be storming to the swamps after dinner & falling asleep in the heated blind.
  11. nyclu03, saved some chunks of backstrap for the turkey fryer today.
  12. 1liter, Gaddis hasn't set up our animal porn section yet... neck was really swollen from build up of infection vertebrae, infection & gaping exit wound old wound on shoulder
  13. Great looking guns, dinzag! Your weapons always look so sharp. What kind of hand guard is that on the top shottie? It sweet! Hey JG, that's standard K-Var HG's (& my gas tube/rsb/fsb/lower ret setup)
  14. I'll second that, excellent folks over there!
  15. Hey rocinante, Jeric's the guy for the mag releases. Juggy wanted a leftie one for his S12 so I made this one...
  16. Thanks guys! Yeah he was about 75 yards. 100 is about the limit, shooting prone with the irons, for a really accurate shot. I think out of 20 rounds most were inside 3" when I last shot. I've never grouped it with a scope but I imagine I could cut that down a bit. That short barrel is awesome for storming the swamps & running through brush.
  17. ...and second kill Shot this spike - he was really screwed up. Had to leave him. He hopped up and looked injured. I put him down. He'd been shot before in the neck and had a deformed antler on the left side. Also had tons of mucus coming out of his eyes & nose. His neck was bloated up and when I rolled him over I seen what the problem was. There was infection oozing out the old wound like someone stepped on a custard donut. I'll save the wound & puss pics for later...
  18. Popped him opening morning - first light. 8 point - 165 lbs - 19" outside 150gr Remington core-lokt (pardon my appearance - I was up 'til 3 enjoying the pre-hunt festivities) That and sitting in the freezing rain all morning. edited to swap in a smaller pic...
  19. We need to schedule some more bayonet exercises at the pit...
  20. Love 'em! Awesome for busting clays. Handle slugs good too. As for cleaning, I take a wire brush, give the finger gaps a few swipes & they're good to go.
  21. What did ya pay if you don't mind me asking. Some of the machining/jetting quotes I got back were a little obscene...
