  1. Chances are that the new bolt will not fit in every Saiga due to tolerances. Robert will fit the new bolt to your gun for $30 plus shipping. Doug
  2. I ROed the guy on Stage 11 at the USPSA Multigun Nationals and he was extremely fast. He beat my raw time by over 10 seconds and I have all my fingers and toes (but I am a lot older!). Doug
  3. I'd just buy a 7.62 (30 cal) bore snake and call it good. I have all kinds of kits and jags but I almost always use a bore snake from .22 to 12 ga. Doug
  4. One year. See website for details. Doug http://randrtargets.com/site/about/warranty-and-returns/
  5. Robert has a couple of Veprs that he is converting and the bolt and carrier are virtually identical to the Saigas. He is confident that they will fit the Vepr but plans on doing some testing to verify. Doug
  6. Great post, many folks I have seen at the range think they know everything when in fact they have very limited knowledge. Almost everyone could use a brush up on the basics and learn some new stuff. Doug
  7. I would think that being machined from quality 4140 steel on CNC machinery in the US and held to close tolerances would make them obviously better but if your current Saiga bolt runs well then you probably don't need to change. Robert has thousands of rounds on the initial few he made up but until tens of thousands of rounds have been fired we won't have a definitive answer. For those that have broken or are missing their bolt this should make them happy. Doug
  8. The bolts are 4140, heat treated to 50 Rockwell and Cerecoated Sniper Grey. Doug
  9. The first batch of US made R&R Saiga 12 bolts are now in stock. Bolts are complete with extractor, spring and firing pin. Price is $275 and supply is limited so call Robert at (503)551-7283 to order. I should have the bolts listed on the website by tonight. Bolts are machined from 4140 and heat treated to 50 Rockwell then Cerecoated Sniper Grey. Doug
  10. In stock now, give Robert a call! Doug

  12. There are very few items I really want but since I was young I've always wanted a Belgian Browning High Power. The one Gary posted a while back really got me going but unfortunately I can't justify it at the moment. (Gary, if you ever decide to sell it let me know first!) Doug
  13. My wife and I have run a small business (child care with 33 employees) for over 20 years. Labor is close to 70% of our expenses with average pay around $11 an hour. If we have to increase our labor expenses by almost a third (.70x.333=.231) means we need to increase our income by almost 25%. Average family pays about $800 a month so they would see an increase to almost a thousand dollars. There is nothing wrong with higher wages but people have to understand that the money has to come from somewhere. $10 seems reasonable for a starting wage but $15 is a bit outrageous. Doug
  14. I have both the H-1 (mounted on my competition R&R Saiga) and an Aimpoint PRO (mounted on my JP 9mm Carbine). I really like both sights, but the PRO is several hundred dollars cheaper and performs the same to my eyes. The CompM4 has longer battery life than either of these sights, listed as 80,000 hours or 8 years. In addition it has more levels of both NV and regular illumination than the T-1, takes AA batteries instead of CR2032s and has a 6mm larger clear aperture. The CompM4 runs around $850, the T-1 about $650 and the PRO about $400. Doug
  15. These are all my competition loads. .223 - PMC Bronze 55 gr. Shoots well and has been reliable for me out to 600 yards. 12 Ga shot - Winchester AA Super Sport 1 oz #7.5 - Nice slick plastic shell loads reliably. 12 Ga Buck - Federal 00 flight control. - Groups well. 9mm - Roll my own with Montana Gold 124 Gr CMJ bullets and Silhouette powder. Doug
  16. Robert says bolts are about 2 weeks out. Call him at 503-551-7283 to get in line. Doug

  18. High Standard Supermatic Citation, .22LR, SN#2287980 (I still remember that # even though I sold the gun almost 35 years ago!) Bought it as soon as I could qualify for a pistol purchase permit in NJ. I bought a similar one about 8 years ago that I still have, really fun gun to shoot and works great with a suppressor. Doug
  19. There once was a man from Boston, Who rode around in an Austin He had room for his ass and a gallon of gas, His balls hung out and he lost 'em.
  20. I have a TB Ultra 7 in 6.5 on order, got in on a group buy with RBros Rifles. Should have it in hand by summer. Doug
  21. Cans are great on heavy guns. I shot a .338 Lapua prone without a can and then some kids were allowed to shoot the same gun with a can. Heavy shock wave and lots of dust without the can, almost no muzzle blast, very little dust movement with the can. Much more pleasant and would be much stealthier if you had to use if for real. Doug
  22. Mobil 1 is great synthetic oil, buy a quart and it will last your whole life! I use Tri-Flo on rifles and shotguns and Mobil 1 on pistols. I carry a small squirt bottle of Mobil 1 in my gear bag along with my small spray can of Tri-Flo. Here is a vid of what I carry in my range bag: Doug
