  4. I just did a set, with amber shellac and iodine, I stain it first with minwax "spice"... came out pretty good...I still want to experiment, ordering some more wood and that pine tar...

  6. mr scratch what technique did z-recto use to refinish? is it the pine tar shellac turpentine technique? is z-recto on this site? ps super nice wood!
  7. looking for more info. on using pine tar technique with my siaga and Romanian wood. set, I can't find pine tar locally, but they have a rag impregnated with pine tar for getting a better grip on baseball bats, at sports authority I'm wondering if I can use this instead of the Swedish pine tar and get the same results? this is the look I'm after borrowed from arnoob on firearmstalk.com beautiful stuff!

  13. im looking for a hand guard retainer, i had made my own but it looks a little bubba is something better but affordable?
  14. i went back in and took some more of the shroud and threaded some more, not all the way to the fsb but close enough that it looks so much better. im going back to wood for sure, you will see my evil black furniture on the market place soon...hehe now the next thing i wanna do is a better trigger guard, i used the old one bubba style, and paint job...
  15. here is a few, same saiga with some changes over the past year, last thing i did to her was the muzzle break just now, i think i needed to go a little further back, but i read in another thread a guy went right up to the fsb and then the muzzle break would not go all the way back to the fsb and he had to dremal the tip of the rifle some! i didnt want to do that...im trying to find the thread before i go further...enjoy! im already planning on some changes timbersmith got some russian red wood now!
