  1. Saw this and thought it was very odd. They took there regular bullpup kit and turned it sideways so the MD-20 would be out of the way. Just thought I would share.
  2. Hey guys, dove season begins here in AZ on September 1st. I normally dove hunt with my Stoeger sxs uplander but I sold that right after last season to fund another project. So now the only shotguns I have is the Saiga 12 and a little Rossi 410 18" bbl. The rossi is out of the question so all I have to turn to is my S-12. I was wondering what kind of choke setups you guys are running to get the best results out of the 19" barrel. I just ordered 5-5 round mags from keepshooting.com for $11 each. I am going to make a 2 round plug for each one because I cant justify spending $30 on a sgm 2 rounde
  3. Same here, I went to last decembers gunshow here in phoenix in search of a sig mosquito at sub $300. What jerk offs, they were selling beat to shit mosquito's for $379 with those high quality "white nail polish" 3-dot sights and a dremeled stainless finish (went all directions with wire wheel ). After 5 hours of searching for something to buy I ended up leaving with a nice reflex sight and a couple of 10/22 mags ( they were defective!!!!). I was very disappointed.
  4. Sorry no info on this but you posted in the wrong section.
  5. I owned a sr9 and it was one great shooter but I was offered a straight across trade for a colt 1911 and I couldn't refuse.
  6. Ya it was the Ulyanovsk. I thought tula and Ulyanovsk were the same rounds just different box. I dont think they are light primer strikes. The dent on the dud primers look no different than the spent casings. I seem to have the same problem with Herters too. When I shoot good brass rounds I never have an issue so I assumed it was just bad ammo. It doesnt stop me from buying tula/Ulyanovsk because its cheap for plinking. IDK, sorry to hijack the thread btw.
  7. I usually run that stuff through my mak-90 and out of 300 rounds I always seem to get 3-4 duds. Everytime I buy it this happens. Good for plinking but for self defense I wouldnt recomend it just for the fact that there might a dud in your mag.
  8. I posted this on another similar thread and instead of typing it again I just copied and paste. "As far as width goes I just started cutting that little stepped ledge thats on there untill its flush with the rivet. I think it was .96" I think. Then I just measured doen with a depth gauge to .89" and used blue masking tape to mask off a line (point of no return!) to the said depth and slowely started making a ledge just above the taped line. Once that is done and is flush with the rivet I wrapped the blue tape around the trunnion and did a test fit. If it doesnt go in right away put a l
  9. I read this last night on my phone and I didnt notice the time stamp. It about made me sick when I read it. You really freaked me out, I was about to go spend half my paycheck on magazines. There are many AWB rifles that I want and another ban would be sure to crush my dreams.
  10. Damn $450 is a good deal. I wish I had the money. Good luck......Heres a bump
  11. Mine said 176mm but maybe my tester was tanked because I was shooting around 3 inch groups with my front sight not adjusted (had to compansate).
  12. Just make sure you use the correct bits and a high speed dremel. I used the 1/8" carbide dremel bits (recomended by Cobra) which work so well especially well. They hardly generate any heat and they are very controllable. I sprayed rem-oil periodically to keep the heat down.
  13. As far as I know there arent any aftermarket bolt/bolt carriers. You can buy a different trigger group. I just use the tapco g2 which IMO is very good. You can polish/ reprofile your bolt for a smoother action and easier loading on a closed bolt. Plus there are venders here like Pauly and Cobra who, from the reveiws and pics ive seen, do a very good job at Bolt carrier jobs for a decent price. The action in a Saiga doesnt need to be upgraded or replaced by any means, maybe just refined a little. Post some pics of your beast.
  14. Its really tricky to get a good pictures of the trunnion. Your before pictures actually turned out pretty well. Heres my dremel work on my adapter. Took a long time to get it perfect but when I do this a second time it will definitly be quicker and cleaner. As far as width goes I just started cutting that little stepped ledge thats on there untill its flush with the rivet. I think it was .96" I think. 15. Is the top rail removable? And approximately how long is the handgaurd?
  16. Ill think about it. Let me see if I have enough and ill be in contact. Thanks again I had another forum member contact me on a used one so I dont know yet.
  17. Oh and it ejects the shell upon opening the action. I found that out by getting popped in the face with a shell. Its no Saiga 410 but for its purpose itl do just fine.
  18. So after working a good amount of overtime this past 2 weeks, I decided to buy myself something ive always wanted but never have bought, a plain and simple single shot 410. Its the Rossi Tuffy 410, 3" chamber with a matte nickle finish and 18.5" barrel. It has a 4 round shell holder in the buttstock with a view window. The lil SOB only weighs in at just under 3 pounds and is about 28 inches long. It breaks down in about 10 seconds and reassembles just as fast. I took it out to the desert about 20 mins after I bought it. Let me tell you I never thought I would enjoy a single shot as much as thi
  19. I picked up a SOG Flash 2 at my local thrift store for $10 (what a steal!), brand new in wrapper. Turned out to be my favorite daily carry knife. Opens very fast and easily.
  20. Well I got a lot done. Still need the handgaurd and tech sights but for the most part its finished. Here it is.
  21. That is actually a pretty badass rail. I didnt realize they made one for the saiga. BUT, its still around $130. If I had that money I would go with CSS's tri-rail. Give me a discount and we have a deal haha.
  22. I have been slowely but surely working on my 223 project and ive come to a fork in the road. I really want the CSS aluminum tri-rail but the price is killing me. So ive been looking at some low-profile, lightweight alternatives. The UTG appears way too bulky and the top rail is not needed. Tapco is just out of the question. So ive been giving the SGM tri-rail some consideration. I love the price (around $60) but the fact that it doesnt have a full length rail on the bottom is giving me second thoughts. I want to mount a magpul AFG on it to the most rearward position on the handgaurd. So ive lo

  24. I gave it a shot and it came out really well. Its possible using a dremel, it just takes awhile. If you try it yourself buy some Carbide cutting bits and make sure you square up the trunnion the best you can. But if you find a gunsmith who will do it for a low price go for it. I got impatient and just went for it.
