  1. vicious indeed! nothing scarier than an elderly golden.
  2. my boys who won't sit still for a picture. both mixed breed. and hers a picture where i got them to sit still, but they're looking at me like something is terribly wrong. it's not.
  3. it's not a siaga, but it is my .223. (stock pinned, pipe soldered over threads, and since the stock cant fold anyway, i put a piece of pipe insulation on the left strut of the underfolder for a cheekpad)
  4. looks good. welcome to the addiction.
  5. yep. it's fine, if i really do my part it can get close to 2moa, but a couple flyers now and then. think of it as on par with wolf, accuracy wise. it's not as good as SA, but it's available. got some at a gun show this fall, and liked it alright, so i just paid $4.58 for some more... $4.50 sounds like a good deal.
  6. the .308 is actually the easiest conversion, since there are no extra holes for the sporter trigger. just follow what's on cross-conn and ignore the part about the 2 extra holes. look around the marketplace here for BattleRifleG3's furniture, if you're into wood, he does some nice looking stuff. the only issue i can think of with the .308 is that you have to somewhat modify the tapco hammer, if you use that in your conversion. it's not so bad if you just try to copy the shape of the factory hammer. good luck, and enjoy your .308 ! i love mine! oh... and remember your co
  7. gee, thanks larry . now im a couple hundred dollars poorer and have this on the way (yes i know its paki, but my s308 has eaten plenty of it before and likes it just fine.)
  8. Actually my wife shot herself in the forehead with one of the spring retainers. Those springs have a good amount of oomph to them. lol, i only mentioned it because of the speed my factory 8rd mag spring flew across the room when i was converting it to 10rds. did it leave a mark?
  9. poor FBMG. those guys have to have crazy blisters on their thumbs from assembling 1700 mags. i wonder how many springs have gone flying?
  10. just be like, "No, to convert to full auto, you have to drill a hole thru the receiver right.... here."
  11. nice bedspread. you didnt get any oil spots on it did you? that wood stock looks kickass!
  12. i know, i know. it's just an aesthetic thing, y'know? really though, you did a fantastic job. it's too bad they butchered the receiver so much, it sort of leaves the conversion out of reach of mere mortals such as myself.
  13. Right you are, bossman. it's 3/16" longer, but it still fits. my answers get sloppy when i'm up late with my friend insomnia.
  14. In alabama? Are you kidding? he's not kidding. http://www.myfoxal.com/myfox/pages/News/De...mp;pageId=3.1.1
  15. as #4 on the ship list, yours are probably already assembled.
  16. the poll's looking a bit lopsided...
  17. yeah, i know what you were asking, it should work, but isnt 20 enough? i was just one-upping and picturing a frankenmag with the 20 and the factory mag to make a 25-30 rounder
  18. how 'bout combining the new 20 with an old 8 and using the +2 follower? lol. now THAT'd be a heavy set-up when loaded.
  19. bulleit bourbon and knob creek are what i usually go for.
  20. did you get it from eastwave? if so, i would contact them if i were you, and see if they will replace. can't hurt to try. failing that, there are two small (tiny) flathead screws, one on each side of the scope, just forward of that seam. push the seam toether, tihten the screws, and put a drop of clear nail polish on them.
  21. i'm not a professional, but i would say take a rubber mallet and hit the recoil spring "button" firmly and see if it moves, i bet it does. i had this prob on a romy build i did, but it was because the rear trunnion was a bit beat. Is your rifle used?
