  1. yea, thanks Schultze,,,i have 2 mak 90's...just looking to get another 5.45 so if you would consider i would certainly be interested
  2. ok, anyone have a sar 2, cur2 or romak 2 for sale? I live in a communist ban state and these are my only legal options other than a conversion. I am willing to pay a fair price thanks Nick
  3. what parts did you use spoecifically to do that ak front ?
  4. how many ports does that have? what are the mods? mine is a brand new gun, i have not fired it yet. I am just looking to do the reliability mods
  5. have a new s12, going to buy an adjustable plug. which one to buy? the tac47 plaug? md arms or the gunfixer? stock s12 with d mod , 3 ports now open and unobstructed
  6. i just got an s-12 that is marked 3/11 on the papers on the box, but has h09 serial. it too had 3 ports and the front 2 were paritally blocked. i just did the d mod and i will shoot it for the first time next saturday I do notice that if i hand clcle it and slowly close the bolt to battery, it stops about 1/4" os so from the closed position, then POP! it snaps closed. is that normal? this is done by opening the bolt, and slowly leting back till it stops. when the bolt engages the breech, it pops closed
  7. i just wanted to thank you for this post, i picked up a new legion s12 made in 09 (yet has 3/11 on the papers) that has 3 ports, 2 of which were partially blocked by the gasblock. basically when the drilled the barrel pin, it was rotated slightly anticloskwise and when the put the gas block on it partially covered the fron and side ports. i read the article and did the mod, i used a rotary tool and small files. It is a new gun, yet to be shot so I am confident that i will be ok. (i was worried as i verified that it had 3 ports with a paper clip, but also that they were partially covered)
  8. if you have a converted s12, leave it home. pistol grips on semi auto shot guns will get you 5-9 years in prison. they are considered "assault weapons" even if it has a thumbhole stock ( it is considered a pistol grip by the NJ state police firearms division) also, if you have pistols, leave them home...no hollow points, no mags that hold over 15 rounbds, no semi auto's with pistol grips or bayonet lugs as they too ate "assault weapons. No m1 carbines, no adjustable stocks or flash hiders(and what is or isn't is up to the police to decide) no pistols over a certain weight ....' take some con
  9. i have the same problem when i go to ny to buy ammo...no pistol ammo for me because i live in nj. get ready, 223 is going that way too
  10. I live in a communist state (nj) so i always pay more for less to start with. I wanted to get a nice semi auto shotgun anyway, the Saiga imho is a heck of a gun, much more so than the run of the mill remington. Sadly, I cannot do any conversion as semi auto shotguns with pistol grips are illegal. But I wanted this as a self defense item, not for hunting. Plus I cannot see that prices will go down...ALL gun prices seem to be headed upwards as a rule in the past few years.
  11. looking to get a saiga 12, anyone know where the cheapest place is currently?
  12. Anyone have Romanian ak74 5.45 bolt ? I picked up a sar 2 and it needs a bolt...it is missing. I tried a bulgy but they are not interchangeable thanks! Nick
