  1. Reading this reminded me of the songs we used to sing in elementry, today it'd get you locked up for terroristic threats. I know yall know the ones. " On top of the school house covered in blood" or " Glory glory hajaluah, hit my teacher with a rula, her neck snaped everybody clapped" my personal fav " My eyes are filled with the glory of the burnining of the school" When I lived in Kali, shortly after the columbine incident, I was attending a continuation/trade school, and a class mate of mine wrote a silly for an assignment about an green goblin that told him to burn things. Well he was ou
  2. Any prosecutor who pursues this is a far worse criminal than this prank could ever be misconstrued to be. In the absence of any threatening letter or previous remarks it seems absurd to atempt to call this an act of malice or terrorism. Just one more attempt by the edu-crates, and extremist authorites to indoctrinate our children to accept diminished rights and grow up thinking it's normal.
  3. My understanding is that certain hand guards can effect the way the recoil is transfered to the bolt carrier. Polishing seems like the shortest course, considering it cycled correctly to begin with. As far as cycling from the hip, it's kinda how i decied wether the gun is what i would call reliable. It should opperate correctly reguardless of how you hold it. In the heat of the moment you don't want to have to be checking your grip and posture before taking a shot. Ofcourse practice will help ensure that you do anyway, combined with a highly reliable weapon, your odds of sucess are greatly inc
  4. I noticed it wouldn't feed from his pump, and we didn't see him load them in the siaga. I can only imagine the feeding issues with these. BUT for a day out plinking might be econimical, if they feed even half ass.
  5. Gonna need some 20 rnd mags to go with this bad ass!
  6. AMSS on Jones rd has 30rnd-ers by the register in front. Check them out. Prices aren't best, but good people. Since you are now doing business with Glock, maybe you can verify this? Thanks, Yakdung
  7. If you can change your breaks, you can convert a siaga. You want something special done, like sbr, or inconel blast chamber, maybe even a top of the line finish. Go pro. If you go pro you can't loose, if you DIY, you'll gain experience, it's easy if you have basic skill sets with tool, not really any serious gunsmithing required, lots of videos for help. But yea if yourself doubt go with Tac47 he's a local guy, and everybody around here recommends him.
  8. Gas puck. Tapco's sells for $10-ish.
  9. The s12 counts as14 parts including 3 for the mags alone. Just changing one part one the gun and using US mags only will make you compliant.
  10. I'm not surprised that tomball pawn is out of saiga mags. That place is a zoo, a well priced zoo, but a zoo none the less! Till this is confirmed I say squash this thread . I see sales shinanagins being played thats all.
  11. Pop it all the way and give the retainer a gentle squeeze with some pliers, reinstall.
  12. I understand completely. I was not fishing for a procedure, rather I was concerned because I didn't heat treat my handle. They seem to be holding up, only time will tell. Thanks for the info.
  13. Yea! Yall quit screwing around and start importing them! We want guns, you want money! Get it done!
  14. Pauly, What are you opinions on heat treating/stress relieve after welding on the carrier? My understanding is for this type of material it's recommended, but I have an apprehension about putting excessive heat on machined parts. Install tips; Preheat the base metal on the carrier & make a non porous weld. Pictures; http://forum.saiga-1...-modifications/
  15. Well the gallery is fixed kinda, except all my albums and content are gone. Guess it's still in the works?

  17. There is this article. Read the whole thing then decied. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/57158-diy-left-side-charging-handle/ I strongly recommend tig. I would avoid the brazing altogether. I just made my turn up where the orignal handle ended. My final pieces dimensions not including the ball bearing were 0.25 .975 x 1.35. I don't know if that helps, but I've got the same set up on my s12 and my 410, both run great. I also know that many of the vendors on this forum do these things for relatively fair prices, considering the work ingvolved. Good luck.
  18. I hate you. I hate him too, I gotta drive 100 miles to shoot like that. But you know what it's SOOO fucking worth it!
  19. I'm hoping I'll be that user! 2: where did you get to see the linkage? 3: lots of shit is preordered (definately not my favorite way to do things) 4: Who makes them, who has one, and how much?
  20. I received an email from Bjorn stating that it would ship between July 1-31. With worst possible no later than August 15. If I haven'ts a tracking number by then he'll have a request for refund,,and CSS will have yet another order from me.
  21. Humble pie never tasted so good.
  22. while he's at it, have him grab me a 5gallon bucket of argon. OK ill bite , whats a duck bill spreader , would you find it on the shelf next to the re-bar strecher or the sky hook , or is it over by the 10 penny toe nails ?
  23. The only issue I've ever had at my local range is one day I was out testing the new 410 conversion and got repremanded ( by a 14 year old range officer) for folding the stock. He came up and shouted "unfold that stock or you'll have to bag the shot gun and be asked to leave!". First off, I asked him " Is that tone nessesary? I'm a long time patron here and I don't appricate being spoken to that way. So I suggest unless you wish to lose my business afterI have a a word with your manager, you'll rephrase that" Without hesitation he replied "Sir range rules forbid shotguns be fired without the s
