  1. Gremlins man, gremlins...
  2. Good point as well. I have plenty of room though. Thanks though, I probably wouldn't have thought to look lol
  3. I don't know about the OP, but gas ports were never a problem, it's not that far off. I'm just worried about wear on the operating rod/added friction Thanks, I hope it's not a hard fix
  4. Mine is exactly the same way, the gas block is slightly off to once side. I first noticed when I was installing my Krebs peep and Dinzag front sight tower. They said to use the bead to get it straight just before you tighten the set screws... I'm not using the factory bead anymore and it's cut off so I'm not worried about proper sighting, but I have been checking my op rod each time I shoot to see if there's any odd wearing. So far no, but one side of the very end of the doesn't collect any build up. Kinda makes me pucker up a lil bit
  5. I've worked full time at a shooting range now for 5 years. I love my Howard Leight/Impact Sport electronic muffs. The batteries last ages, and as long as you don't constantly fold and unfold them, the muffs themselves will too. They keep the gunfire out and there is no problem hearing people around you. Plus a 1/8 jack for the walkies, or for music. Please note though, if you keep them and use them for a long time, you'll need to replace the pads every so often. They get hard as damn rock after a while, which is uncomfortable, and also makes them not seal as well.
  6. E clips, and R clips, bought from homedepot, work pretty damn good. I don't remember which size I got, if you do this you should take your pins with you and make sure you get the right fit.
  7. Smib is right. The bolt has to be in the carrier, just so...Other wise shit won't line up. If ya don't see it at first, try turning the bolt a lil bit at a time until you get it to slip back in the gun. Then stare at if for a while until you've got that image burned in your head. I sometimes fumble with it for a bit too, if it's been a while since I took it apart. Take a breathe, you'll get it
  8. A company called WMD does stuff like that, a buddy at work was telling me about it when he was building his latest AR. I'd like to send in my s12 and get the entire inside of the gun coated, but I also haven't done any research on how much thickness it adds, and I'm broke so there's no hurry lolHotshot, those are some really nice looking guns sir. I like the stock on the top one I can paint guns like that with Krylon! Lol. Don't laugh it actually turns out good and lasts. Oh well yeah, don't get my wrong, my gun is currently rattle canned as well. I did it when I saw that gun scrubber mel
  9. If you're just feeling guilty about not using it, cut it off. I've never missed it, in terms of it being on the gun, and if you use a dremel to take a lil off the right place, it makes a great bottle opener.

    Saiga 12 Parts

Mark the spot with a flag and wait for the thaw man, you're just about screwed
  11. I see that that is a dust cover, but I don't get what's going on with the guts in there?? I also noticed the "2 3/4"...lame Plus I take it that the crossed guns logo is what it looks like with the stock unfolded. It's fuckin ugly
  12. They're on here as a member. The guy's name is like ObiWonBonJovi or something pretty close to that. BTW someone earlier mentioned that SGM might make an adapter. They do but it's not a folder. It replaces the entire trunnion and threads an AR buffer tube directly into it. I love mine.
  13. That's hot, pretty close to what I want eventually. Whats up with the gas plug though? It takes all ammo on one setting?

  15. Two questions, maybe not polished, but is there any chance that there might be a model that isn't painted black..something like just a flat or brushed metal? And possibly any talk of coming with shorter op rods for cut gas systems?
  16. I never found it on their page either come to think of it, sorry it's been a while since I had to track it down. I had emailed Krebs directly for starters and they referred me to him. I wrote him as well after I didn't see it on his page, and he told me he had one and to call him the next day. Don't forget to account for time zones if you go this route, I accidentally woke him up the next day and felt like an ass... But he and his lady are very nice folks and shipped my peep and AGP mag super pronto.

    barrel shrouds?

Needs a longer bbl and a few drums
  19. Gratsi Evl PS-someone just posted a picture of a krinkish S12 with a 100 folder, thought you'd be interested in takin a peek

    barrel shrouds?

To be honest a S12 with a chaos kinda looks like a PS90 with that long skinny bbl sticking out, all unbalanced looking and stuff. After seeing that guy's gun I kinda think that they kinda need one. Maybe Chaos should start producing their own shroud and selling it as an optional package deal. Oh plus it has to be the full length top rail model
  21. I had an ACE folder on my S12 back in the day. But after a while of carting it back and forth to work in the truck, I realized that the length saved isn't much on an ak with a 19" bbl. Plus the SOCOM stock was bumping the side rail and after a while the folder got a bit of play in it. I ended up cutting out the entire trunnion and side mount for the SGM internal adapter and I love it. The only time I'd use a folder now is on a SBS, and it would have to be something with a slim profile, the SOCOM was a bit bulky when folded. If I had to take a guess, I'd say that the 100 looks kinda slim...
  22. I'm running with a Dinzag fsb with a Krebs rear peep. Arizona Armory can sell you a Krebs peep with out the front site if you like. I love it

    barrel shrouds?

Personally I think barrel shrouds are one of the most useless things ever, but I'll be dammed if I don't like the looks of this gun... Go for it man http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/79791-cant-say-enough-how-pleased-i-am-with-my-conversion/
  24. I have no idea where to find it now, it was just a quick comment in a thread of similar topic. But someone mentioned that they saw where someone else had fitted an AR buffer tube on their S12 and rigged a protrusion to the buffer spring that extended into the back of the receiver. It only met with the bolt carrier at the rear of the cycle just like the buffers shown above, it didn't replace the recoil spring or anything like that. It seemed ridiculously useless considering you could just buy a small piece of plastic, but if you had the tools and time, I guess it would be a really fun job to ti

Mississippi Auto Arms- 90 bucks and they have 4 in stock currently. I was about to post a link for ya but at the last second I realized that I have no idea if that's kosher, sorry. Just go to their site, and at the top left in the lil search box type SGM, it'll be about the third result
