  1. No worries brotha, we all good. Much respect for your posts and opinions, and I appreciate the PM.
  2. Overwhelming yes so far, but like you said, see how it goes.
  3. Ask Rodney King how it works My favorite is watching these videos, hearing the people getting cuffed ask, "What am I under arrest for?" and the cops reply with "Resisting arrest." It's like, they don't see a problem with the chronological irony of making such an asinine statement. I never understood this one either. You have to be placed under arrest for something to be resisting arrest. And POP is not a sufficient charge.
  4. Sad stuff. Pray God's healing and favor on all those in and around West.
  5. Wow. Just watched the video. Man, lots of thoughts here. I did not expect them to actually arrest him. Looks like he was charged with "resisting search", which falls under the Texas law of "Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport". First, there is no chance in hell the charge will stick. In order to charge someone with resisting search, and actually have the charge stick, they have to exhibit some sort of violence in preventing the officer from searching them. We get this alot when someone is hiding dope. I have no idea what the call was or what the complainant told the 911 operator. I a
  6. Therein lies a major problem. Many LEOs believe they are different from us. They need an education. We have have had this conversation before, and I agree with you. There are not that many LEO's like this, but they stick out like a sore thumb. And other LEO's don't like them either.
  7. Dubya's "Screw Question" thread was pretty damn funny as well. You gotta give SS/Mother Land Sand Man/AK Syndicate/Libtard credit....He has livened things up around here. Hell, we can't buy and convert any Saigas, so I am all for being entertained.
  8. DS Arms is a manufacturer of AR 15's and other similar rifles. This is an article from their site about breaking in a new barrel. Not saying I do this, because I don't, but this is what they suggest. My process is much like what was explained earlier. I shoot slowly, usually 3-5 shots at a time. Check group, shoot some more. After around 20 rounds or so, I clean the barrel with very little effort. Run a wet patch or two, run a dry patch or two, then continue shooting. I only do this for about 100 rounds, then I consider my barrel broken in. I only do this if the barrel is not chrome lined.
  9. Hurricane Katrina brought multitudes of the FSA to Dallas/Fort Worth, and really all of Texas.
  10. Chrome lining is not a bad thing, and I have barrels that are Chrome lined. However, CL barrels are the least accurate at longer distances of the barrel options available.
  11. Just my 2 cents, but I would not Chrome line the barrel. unless u plan on shooting corrosive stuff. Between those two options, I would go with the 20 inch.
  12. And he is a gunsmith with over 40 saiga conversions under his belt.
  13. +1 for the CSS handguard. I did all wood on my conversion, and I love it, but the next one I plan to use this handguard with a skeleton stock of some variety. Just need prices on the rifle to come back down to somewhere south of $450.
  14. The Ruger LC9 is a good gun, and a buddy of mine bought one about the same time I bought my PF9. I did not like the mag safety or the chamber indicator. I wear the PF9 in a slide holster attached to one of the straps on my BP vest. Basically it sits behind my left shirt pocket. I never notice it there, and am very happy with it. However, the Ruger is a good weapon, but has some features that some may like, and some may not. If I were looking for a good CC gun, I would try both and see which one I was most comfortable and accurate shooting with. Both will conceal about the same, and the price p
  15. Jerry, Monty, Darth, I appreciate the info. I know it is a matter of time before I buy the 300 blk dies, and this is good info that I probably would have not known. Much appreciated, especially the link.
  16. At half the price of many I've considered at it's hard not to give this one a close look. I had pretty much written off Kel Tec, mainly due to one of their guns I owned 10 or 12 year ago. Gun worked fine, just was really uncomortable to shoot. A buddy of mine talked me into trying out his PF9, and I loved it. The trigger pull is long, but smooth, and it is around 7-8 lbs. To be so small and light, the recoil is not bad at all. I believe it holds 7+1. Kel Tec customer service has always been very good to me. I paid right around $250 for the gun, then I sent the slide to Kel Tec and they se
  17. Perfectly scripted reality television.
  18. I went with a 9mm, and specifically the Kel Tec PF 9. It is supposed to be the lightest 9mm made, and I can carry it IWB, in a pocket with a pocket holster. They can be had for under 300, and they really are good guns.
  19. Long way from reloading 300blk, but what do you use to anneal your 5.56 cases? How long do you heat it? Not trying to be dense, but none of the handful of people I know who cut down 5.56 cases, resize and load as 300 blk anneal their cases. I would like to properly warn them while giving them some instruction heating the cases to harden it.
