  1. I see what u are saying, and I agree. Never really paid attention to it. Most of us use terms like "complainant" or "reportee". Civilian sounds like I am working in another country. No, that term should only be used by the military, and I appreciate you taking time to explain. Of course, now I have to use that term just to jack with yall

  3. Good for them. They have always been good to deal with. Easy on the "civilian cop" bashing. The overwhelming majority of us completely support what these companies are doing. I do not support laws of any kind that would prevent any law abiding citizen from being able to buy the same stuff I can. That is the purpose of the 2nd Amendment, and I support any company willing to stand up for everyone....and I mean everyone, LEO, military, mechanics, teachers, ditch diggers, whatever. We are all Americans and the Constitution applies to all. Yes, even us cops
  4. Magpul's FB site had this on it just a few minutes ago.... "It appears that someone has posted or sent out some sort of notice that we are moving to a specific location. We can assure you that no decision has been made about location, and that we are still fighting this battle. We are, however, assembling our requirements and looking at various areas that would be suitable for our new home, should it come to that. We appreciate all the offers, and we will begin talking to various entities about those shortly." But, they also have this at the top of their FB page.....
  5. Watcha mean NV won? Magpul announce something? Found this article. Nothing I have seen official yet, but I wonder why NV? It is a blue state, and Harry Reid is there. Seems like they might be asking for history to repeat itself. http://outdoorsnative.com/outdoor-life/firearms/is-magpul-moving-to-nevada/
  6. Yeah, I do not have alot of love for CTD, but this is a good move for them. If they keep headed this direction, they may earn some business back. You never know who is calling the shots at times when a company does something stupid. Maybe CTD has changed something in upper management.
  7. So did we ever figure out when some shitments will come in....
  8. My local walmart has nothing. Not one single box of ammo in the case. Been that way for a while. Not sure what to make of that. Edit: They did have shotty shells. No bullets of any kind. Being Texas, I am finding that odd.
  9. Lots of stories like your pirate. I held off on a $450 IZ340 and now am really regretting that decision.
  10. Its calming. The problem is that suppliers are still behind on the raw goods that manufacturers need to make stuff. Once that inventory is back up, and folks can start getting the materials they need, then the prices will normalize again. As for the Russian stuff, I wish I knew. If anyone knows the current state of Izhmash, that might give us a clue when shipments will start rolling in here. It will take a while for those prices to come back down, just simply because no one has any and the flow will probably be a trickle at best. Once everyone quits panic buying all the Saiga's, then the v
  11. Oh hell yeah. The state should buy a big piece of land and create an industrial park with enough room to accommodate 10 or so manufacturing facilities and a common research facility for the use of all. Also a state of the art indoor/outdoor range and education facility. And if there's room left over....a boiled peanut stand. Wow. Talk about "unfair advantage" Love me some boiled peanuts. One of the things I miss about living in the south (Mississippi). Magpul, come on down to Texas. We would welcome you with open arms and lots of mag wells for your product. The Ge
  12. Rocky Mountain Reloading has always been a good source with fair prices. Didn't know about the FB. Thanks for the tip!
  13. Wow. They do have a few good bullets in stock. Thanks for the link!
  14. I think this is the million dollar question. If they are pumping out saiga's, we should see a good supply come summer.
  15. Pretty frustrating right now, given the current market. I really want to load some Sierra 65g SP's, but there is no telling when they will be back in stock. I am good on powder, primers, and brass, but they don't do no good without the pills. Anyone else waiting on a specific bullet to get back in stock?
  16. I am LEO, and I love this! Kudos Olympic Arms. Never really considered buying one of your AR's......until now! And Magpul.....come on down to Texas. We would love to have you.
  17. "I know all of them aren't this way but it seems like a lot don't give a shit about anything other than making up for being picked on in high school." I somewhat agree, but I would say that most are not like this, and only a handful are making up for being picked on in high school. Nobody likes them....especially other cops. The problem is that the handful stick out like a sore thumb. Most of them become traffic officers and would write their mother a ticket.
  18. Some do, some don't. It is really up to the administration of each department. Some departments have semi for patrol units, FA for SWAT, but again, just depends on the admin. It is really easy to watch a video and critique and second guess what is going on. No one here has any idea what the police knew and did not know going into this situation. And no, police are not military, and never claim to be. Even those who were Marines, and now police, do not claim to be all that. Not to mention this was within an hour or so of two of their co-workers begin shot, one of which was killed. They p
  19. I was surprised it lasted that long. With Saiga's not being readily available right now, at least for a reasonable price, conversions have probably slowed somewhat.
  20. It makes perfect sense. I went crazy when I first got my M&P 15-22 and bought several thousand rounds. This is back in the glory days when 525 pack of Federal was $16. It will come down again....but until then I am a little more conservative with how many rounds I blow through at one time.
  21. Agreed. I really did not expect the "craze" to affect 22lr. It is hard to find, and what is out there is extremely overpriced. No thanks. I'm good till prices come back to Earth.
  22. Yep. That AK 103 article in the other thread talks about how he cut that. Doesn't sound too bad.
