Is the SAIGA 12 or 20 the PERFECT Home Defense Shotgun??
Gzus Kryst replied to Nala's topic in Saiga-12
If your willing to spend the money to make it the best it could be, then yes I cant think of a better shotgun to use as a home defense gun then a reliable magazine fed semi-automatic shotgun. spend the money to make it reliable, then to make it even better in your desired application (if allowed by state law) chop about 8 inches off that barrel and SBS it. evlblkwpns has an extreme version there in his avatar ( think that's his 6.5inch barrel lol) Having a basic conversion done for the PG alone will make the handling much improved then a SBS will allow you to move through doorways eve -
4 open ports, auto plug, css puc -- no low brass cycle
Gzus Kryst replied to jergoff's topic in Saiga-12
First off let me say I don't have the auto plug or a reprofile, but from what I have read on this forum people claim they can shoot the 23/4 dram ammo like that with the autoplug and a bolt trigger job like what cobra offers. But if you plan on going that route keep the ammo. Otherwise sell it -
question regarding the sks handguard used on S12
Gzus Kryst replied to Gzus Kryst's topic in Saiga-12
Thanks guys, almost bought the one from cobra's simply because it was shiny, but already had this one. -
Seen a bunch of pictures with it looked cool enough. bought 2 awhile back for my yugo and norinco never put it on the yugo. so thought I'd see what it looks like on my S12. Stock handguard got in the way so took it off, and its really loose so my first instinct was crush it with my hands to make the radius tighter. then decided to try and look around for info. found the crimp ends with pliers method ( can cause scratching on gas tube) and bending it tighter like my first instinct was anyone have any other methods to try? also will i need to shave some plastic off my stock h

Shot in the dark, but what dram are the shells? All the bulk packs in my area are 2 3/4 inch 23/4 dram 8 shot and have never shot it due to a cheaper price per round to get winchester super target 2/34 inch 3 dram 7 shot 25 round box(like $7 something after tax). I have a stock '11 on the 1 setting and the 3dram cycles it fine. Have read a few similar topics where simply changing from 23/4 to 3 dram solved the issue. might be a cheap solution to establishing your baseline -
I'll buy your MD-20 drum for $50 if you don't want it bro lol

Not picky on beer myself but I do enjoy Molson XXX and guinness. Whiskey is my normal Jameson or Bushmills in a glass or if want to mix Jim/Makers. Just recently got into scotch but I'm picky don't really care for Dewers, cutty or Johnnie Walker (red or black). Guy at work gave me a bottle of Macallan 15 loved it then got sticker shock when I went to buy more. Picked up the Macallan 12 and The Glenlivet 15 both were good. Just bought a new bottle of Macallan 15 today to see if it taste as good it did when it was free, and with the plan to make it last a little longer. and yes in a -

I don't know if I'd bother with the rail, but that gun looks nice with that wood. I'm definitely a fan of unique guns vs. traditional guns. As far as the OP I went with collapsible I like the adjustment options

So got me a stock S12 at the gun show for $500, guy said he was having cycling issues I have yet to have that problem but I turned the gas plug from 2 to 1 ( it only has 2 options) Now I think my questions have been answered by reading several topics just getting some confirmation Was going to have the guys at CGW do it for me as I'm working 60 hours a week currently and its less then hour and a half drive. While I'm sure they do good work but they want more to do the conversion then I paid for the gun so I changed my mind. I did the conversion for my 7.62X39 myself and the biggest dif

Took me two years but finally posting pics of my saiga I bought on accident Impulse buy at the gun show it was only $400 so I grabbed it having no idea what I just did, But its cool I bought some junk to hang on it Then I found this site, asked a bunch of asinine questions, and then realized the scope of what I did. Hesitant to do the conversion I modified a steel surplus Mag to work by grinding down the tab on the back and building up weld on the front to work like the stock saiga mag. After that worked flawlessly 500 rounds of Brown Bear ammo no failures to chamber my confi
