Yeah, Davein. Mine is the same as yours. I picked up a low profile side weaver style rail for it. I will see if it sits my scope a little lower than the one it came with.

I was lucky and squeezed out 1080 tin from Widener's before they were sold out for 145. Don't think I will be seeing that again.

I have an SGL 12 and it does not have a LRBHO. My VEPR 12 does.

For me ( once making sure I had 4 open ports ) was polishing with sand paper. Just hopped on GunFun's signature link and verified where to polish and sat down and started working. It would have gone a lot faster with my dremel tool but just gave me more time with the internals and increased my knowledge base and experience. That being said, did pick up the CSS reliability kit mainly for mdarms plug. I am now running stock spring, puck and the mdarms plug eating all loads I can get my hands on. I have been thoroughly impressed with the knowledge and willingness to help on this board. also q

Yea I have a SGL 12-07 as well purchased through Atlantic. I then picked up a front RPK hand guard from CSS and viola 12-09 without the rail and for cheaper :)The SGL fit and finish are great and it has 4 unobstructed ports as well. According to Fime it comes straight from the factory in this configuration therefore there are no filled rivet holes from the conversion.

It is funny you say that. I am 6'4" and both my SGL12-09 and my VEPR 12 cycle everything I throw at them. That is a very good point.
