  1. I wouldn't weld it. It will be harder than the carrier, and thus induce excessive wear on the wrong part. Look into a new rivet.
  2. It's yours chrome lined barrel and chamber? There are a lot a variables like all of these imported guns. Is it a cugir built rifle?
  3. It's my understanding that a bayo lug means us built-us barrel. I demil will have bayo lugs ground off and brake pinned for importation. The us built ones are not chrome lined which may lead to the "pitted barrel" comment in the next sentence.
  4. Ak 100 folder install. Was super concerned about this. But bits really not that hard. Just very time consuming and meticulous. It's about 2-3 times the work of a standard conversion. But doable
  5. From what i have been told the Vepr 12 LRBHO will fix this issue if installed in an IZ-433. I will be testing this theory, and will try to source the Vepr 12 LRBHO from Russia, if this does indeed work. That would be excellent. I have spent hours trying to tweak the saiga LRBHO to work. It's either catches randomly while shooting, or dosent catch at all. I read somewhere that the only difference is the length of the finger on the end that contacts the follower? Some vepr ones would be great if they interchange as they work perfectly on that gun.
  6. It's quite common for the guide rod to drag on the guide shaft of the recoil assembly. also if it makes a ratcheting sound the spring maybe catching on the hole in the back of the carrier so you can blend that. if you're having major issues with the guide rod the JTE Teflon one does work very well Somewhere in the travel you're speaking of is when the bold head starts to drag on the hammer also so check that interference
  7. Contact COBRA Customs. He's specializes in this very service.
  8. Figure out a look you want, the. Match your budget to the best option in your price range. If your on a real tight budget , then it'll just take longer to find what you want. Shop around, frequent gun shows. I picked a wood but stock for 15$ and a multiple set of handguards for 20$. So for 35$ plus labor. I had a wood stock on my ak. Now, that "run of the mill parts" mind you. Wool on a saiga is highly sought after, and those before you have spent countless hours and hundreds/thousands of dollars to do so. Just be realistic, and buy the nicest option you can afford.
  9. Don't weld the barrel then. Weld the half/gas block instead.
  10. Retract please. I ordered one from dinzag. 1-2 weeks feels like years! Lol jk
  11. Thoses stocks are gorgeous! If they made a standard pistol grip and stock I would have to have a set.
  12. FINALLY!!!! Bigger is NOT better. Lol
  13. Ty, one of my guys Nathan welded it.
  14. Lmao, if you felt the need to defend yourself.......
  15. I love the vepr 12 and the magwell saiga's. The vepr works more consistently than the saiga's LRBHO. But there both kinda junky. I have had the very first round catch, effectively locking the gun totally inoperable. I have had the back the mag catch and start locking the bolt back during firing. And I had it fail to lock back many times. Every issue was related to that arm. I do not own any aftermarket mags, these are factory mags. The actual bolt lock is sufficent. But the arm that does all the work is flimsy and easily bent. Sometimes rendering the gun worse than no LRBHO. It needs to be abo
  16. Also, did no one get my Walt Disney joke? ..............Mickey Mouse.......lame
  17. If you are going to shorten up the gas system you had to weld these holes up anyway. Nbd. Just seal them up, don't burn off the chrome or drop any boogers in there! Would be safer with a brass slug machined snug to the bore. If you have to give the welder tips.....idk. But here goes. 40-50 amps. Needle sharp tungsten. Tig with a remote. Weld with the tip tangent to the barrel. So when he fires up, the flame should roll across the top of the barrel. NOT down into the barrel!!!!! The metal follows the heat. The heat is wherever you point it. Pretty simple. If done right your barrel will look li
  18. If so HPD, I can order some extra for you and cut em down, then ship em the 10rd if you would like. I owe you one anyway.
  19. Buy a couple and modify them. If they were ten rounders I would be all over it. They can be cut to any length? Are you not allowed over 10rd in your state?
