  1. I m looking for a Tromix(discontinued)competition stock. If anyone has one they want taken off there hands send me an IM on here.
  2. Federal LE flight controlled wad is,by far,the tightest patterning buckshot I have ever seen.I ran several different loads through my 8" Tromix S17 and is was incredible how much tighter of a pattern the Federal flight controlled was compared to everything else(remington, wolf, fiocchi, hornady and Federal LE reduced recoil). At 20 yards most of the shots were around 16 inches of spread. The Federal Flight controlled was less than 9 inches.
  3. PM inbound. If you put a magwell on your S17 your drum won't work. I have been considering a surefire magwell on one of mine....Leon,I'll let you be the guinea pig. My parts are ordered.we will meet at GG and put them on there........OK??

  5. I second what Hobbyshooter said.Do NOT shoot them with anything lighter than #4 bird shit.Anything light than that won't embed itself in the coating and will ricochet off.One of my friends caught a pellt between the eyes from bowling pins that were about 20 yards away.It cut him surprisingly bad.
  6. Thanks for the info.I am glad to hear Fiocchi works.I have quite a few cases of Federal LE132-00(flight control stuff)for my S17 but I am saving it for a rainy day. However,it is nice to know that Fiocchi works since it is cheap and I don't feel bad shooting it.
  7. Thanks man....I got it last week and my shoulder is killing me already.......I needed surgry on it last year...I will really need it know. I dont plan on shooting 3" shells but I will put some in it and let friends have a blast..... Where is the link to the cutting surefire mags down to 8 and 10 rounds??? Slug-O Leon,Get a Tromix stock with the limbsaver pad.I have one on my multi-gun Saiga.HUGE,HUGE difference in felt recoil.I am putting one on the Tromix as soon as funds permit. Also, the Gun Gallery has(or they had last week)several factory 8rd Surefires.
  8. Welcome to the darkside,Leon. 3" shells are good to go.However,I would stick to the factory 5 rounders or the surefire 8's.
  9. Just about every AR stock made that fits onto a conventional receiver extension is made in both milspec and commercial. All of Magpuls stock are available in either size.
  10. That is EXACTLY what I had figured I would do(if I could ever get around to doing it)to fix this problem with mine.
  11. Actually at the Leesville PD range. (Fort Polk) I am there right now and will head back to Florida either tomorrow or Thursday. The guys at the PD are great, I have my own keys to their range and can train as needed whenevere I need to. Good to have Cop friends!! Jack Do you live in Palm Beach county? My wifes family lives there.....there's nowhere to shoot there. Anyhow, awesome video. You should make it up to the sepsa multi gun match here in Jacksonville,Fl sometime to show the local Saigas haters who is boss.
  12. I have on on my rifle.I am using the Vickers Redi-Mod.I can't say whether it is worth twice the price or not since I have no experience with anything other than this one.I use it for multi-gun matches, carbine competitions etc and can say that mag changes are very fast with it.If you are looking at one I strongly recommend you consider the magpul BAD lever or ,at the very least, the extended bolt release button from redimag since the bolt release is hard to get to.I have used a friends carbine with a prototype BAD lever and am waiting on mine. The combination of the BAD lever and redi-mag really
  13. Go do some SERIOUS playing in the dirt and sand, and then tell me that an AR is a reliable weapon. I hated the M-16's and M-4's that I used in the military. You get a little bit of crap in them, and the whole weapon shits out on you. Yeah, an AR beats an AK in accuracy. Take a look at the battlefields of today. URBAN. Range to enemey is 100 - 200 yards tops normally. At those ranges, what does it matter if you can put 3 rounds in 1 inch, and I can put 3 in 2 inches. My 7.62mm round is gonna stop what I am shooting at in one shot, can you say the same thing about your .22 on roids?
  14. Your AR must have a can on it if it's quiet..? I have an AAC SPR M4.Definitely doesn't require hearing protection.
  15. Have you gotten one yet? They are being shipped and quite a few people have them.My local shop has 50 on order and I am going to get one once they come in. Chris Costa shoots with some of the guys from my local shop(most of them are the cast in the magpul DVD) and 2 of them got BAD prototypes about a year ago.I have gotten a chance to run a freinds gun who had the prototype on it and have been pateintly waiting for them to be released.I run a Vickers Redi-mag and the BAD makes a huge difference in manipulating the rifle and bolt release with the redi-mag.It is also really easy to lock the b
  16. I know this is an "AK" board and I love my Saiga shotguns, but if I am picking up a rifle it is going to be my AR15.I have owned and shot a lot of AK-47/74's and there is no way I would consider one over my AR.It is dead ass reliable, accurate, mag changes are twice as fast an an AK, and it's quiet. AK's are great guns.It is just a personal preference thing I suppose.
  17. I ran my first multi-gun match yesterday here in NE Florida(sepsa match)and I am officially hooked. They only do 4 a year in this area but as time permits I may drive a little to do more matches.I ran my DIY conversion yesterday and it performed flawlessly(post pics later).I was using #7 1/2 bird shot since we were only shooting steels yesterday with birdshot.I choked it down with the Polychoke and that helped on the stages that required steel to be engaged at 25ish yards. One of the stages had a very high round count for the shotgun and I was surprised that I beat everyone in my squad by a larg
  18. I have heard almost all the same crap that is in that thread before.I guess I must be some guy with a magical touch because both of my Saigas and another member here who has two(hobbyshooter),that I shoot with, have had no issues with these guns that aren't normal for any auto shotgun(certain ammo feeds better than others etc). There are some guys locally that do multi-gun shoots that swear Saigas are piles of crap. However, they have personally watched me run 300+ rounds through mine with no issues..... With that aside the post that made me laugh the most was; "I'd never want a shotgun f
  19. I threw one in one of my S12's today then went out and put 50 rounds through it.Definitely a noticeable improvement over the stock spring.Makes doubles really easy.
  20. Keep an eye on ammunitiontogo.com.They get stuff in and it sells out quickly. If you have the money, just watch the site and when the stuff is listed buy immediately. That S&B from midway is about $.60 a round.ammtogo had Federal LE133-00(8 pellet flight controlled wad)for $.60 a round earlier this week but it sold out in 2 days.I would much rather have the Federal LE buck for the same price.
  21. Lets go run a few hundred rounds through it this weekend. Hope all went well with the FFL transfer and glad to see you got it.
  22. I just bought a tapco FCG and it doesn't have a sleeve with it.Before I have to deal with the online vendor and have them send me the part that wasn't included ,is there a known part that someone can pick up from a local parts store that is the same thing?
  23. Of course there's room. The TLR-2 is a small light. Why would you want to mount a light on top and block your sights? It makes more sense to install a small piece of rail on the side of the forearm(which ever you prefer) and use the tail cap as an off/on from the vert grip. To each their own but I don't see why you would want to put the light on top and block the sighst when you can mount it up front.
