Re read the second paragraph. They plan to make all parts once stock is depleted. Why would they spend so much $ and tooling for a limited run before shutting down.

I have both, like both. My S-12 is being turned into an AK-12SU. My MKA-1919 will be getting a Firebird TAC-12 lower to alleviate all the aforementioned weaknesses and quirks. You can't SBS an MKA-1919 much shorter than 14" due to the gas system. Unless there is a development I don't know about. Hey guys, long time no see. I've been concentrating on other "Non Saiga, Non Shotgun" firearms and since I'd hit a wall in my S-12 build it's been sitting in the back of the safe. That’s until recently. I sent my S-12 to Elk River Tool and Die here in Montana, they are riveting a 100 series trunnion with triangle folder in place and replacing the bolt on Tromix trigger guard with a proper AK trigger guard. You can pick one off gunbroker for $650 sometimes less + shipping + ffl transfer so figure $700 or less if your lucky. Its a good deal if they are hard to find in your ariea. Like rural Montana.
