  1. I have used the enidine and like it on my full size gun. It does cause my gun to FTE light loads that might function on a rigid stock. But.. for stuff that is stout, it makes a big difference. I tried using an enidine on my SBS and it was a no go, it needs all the recoil it can get to cycle. If anyone wants to give it a try, I will sell my used one for (SOLD), I see they are $140 now days so that is a good deal. It was not used for more than a box of shells.
  2. We need RAA to sponsor a prominant and winning sporting clays shooter.
  3. Interesting to see the various results. I have two Saigas, one 19" barrel and one a registered SBS with a 14" barrel. Both have an improved gas knob and polished bolts/FCG. The 19" will run with the endine and Remington Heavy Dove loads. The SBS is more fussy and will not run with the dove load but had no problem with Rem slugs. I'm thinking about going back to a standard buffer tube on the SBS so that it can use birdshot.
  4. Ah... craptastic.. I don't think the search function works on any number less than 4 digits. Try it.. So.. if you want a number in the first 1000 you may have to scan the posts
  5. Yeah.. a game! I need more drums I only have two. 1762 2347 901
  6. I think it is HFS TAP. Hell for stout - thick ass pipe. I have a piece and I know how to destroy things but I don't know how to test things. So I can't really do destructive testing. If anyone has the ability to test it I will send it to you.
  7. You might consider keeping the CTR the way it is and changing the buffer tube to an Endine.
  8. Back to his question... Does the Ace Block introduce an angle to the rear of the receiver resulting in the stock canting downward? I don't know but I thought it did. Now there are some new blocks out there aren't there? Becuase of this very issue I sent both mine off to Nate at Firearms Sales for welded plates as I want my folders to remain in line with the top of the receiver. Oh.. and I'm in Texas.. here if you don't have a gun when you get to the border, they give you one befor letting you in.
  9. I think Tommy Boy is a great movie.. I always ask the Butcher about the steak. I'm not selling my Tromix either, all I have is a yellow paid receipt and my Tromix doesn't have a welded plate, nor welded sights, it was a basic conversion he knocked out for me before his first 'order suspension' BUT know how you can tell it is one of Tony's guns? It goes bang every time you pull the trigger.
  10. I'm not near the garage or I would try this.... what about a Kooze, foam or the neoprene? Are they too small to slip on?
  11. And some guys like me can't load a Saiga mag on a closed bolt with a shoehorn, an air chisel, and a committee. YMMV. I'm with you Vicarious, I look like an idiot trying to load on a closed bolt. True.. I don't practice enough. A viable last round bolt hold open feature would turn this creature into a beauty. Cobra has been talking about marketing his for a long time.. I'm afraid I will be in a walker by the time he lets us have it.. We should find his weakness and exploit it.. women? cigars? farm animals? What is his 'price'?
  12. I sent a note to Gunfixer at Firearms Sales about sending my guns to him and I hope to hear back soon.. but I should ask, does anyone know of a resource in the Houston area for welding on back plates and filling in the holes on the conversion? I have two guns, one is a Tromix but was a conversion Tony fit in for me back in 07 and I didn't get a back plate. The other was unboxed today and it will need a back plate and the holes filled. I have the back plates already and I can do the refinishing myself I just need a talented welder. I'm half tempted to buy a Mig machine at Northern T
  13. I unboxed a new one tonight that was dated 10/20/08 and it has two holes. I will test it Sunday to see how it functions. My Tromix is an 06 gun and it has 4 ports. I'd forgotten how homely they look before the conversion.
  14. You mean because I will either have to pay for it or do it myself?? I would think drums take priority just because I've never heard of a 'Magwell Ban'
