  1. OP, if I had your job, I'd be shitting my pants on a daily basis. I don't handle heights very well. On topic: No, I do not like my job. I'm good at it, but do not like it. I don't complain about it, though. I'm just waiting to find something better. The job I left in SC was what I thought was going to be the start of my "career". That did not turn out to be the case. Working in a jail for 12 hours a day was not for me, and it only took 1 year to figure that out. Some people are cut out for that type of work. It turns out, I'm not one of those people. But hey, I gave it a try.
  2. Average length arms, I'd say. I'm 6'. With your support arm extended almost completely horizontal, reaching out toward the muzzle, you have amazing control over the weapon. Give it a try some time. After shooting like this for the past year or so, I find it awkward when I bring my support hand back close to the receiver.
  3. Where did you read that? I just cruised through GD over there and don't see anything about it, and shit spreads faster than a whore's legs over there. EDIT: I found the big thread on the shooting, over there. There was a member who was thought to be the shooter, but after comparing personal info, it's not the same guy. At least, this goes for the member "LDMaster" over there (hasn't been on since '09). Not sure if there are any other members who are suspected to be the shooter. EDIT #2: There was a link to PeekYou, that showed the shooter as being a member of a few differen
  4. Roger Ebert is a fucking moron. http://www.chicagonow.com/publius-forum/2012/07/roger-ebert-ties-to-exploit-colorado-crime-for-gin-control-purposes/ Stick to reviewing movies, you dipshit.
  5. There's a closer shot of the AR laying outside the door, floating around somewhere. It's a standard 30rd mag. Word is, is that the drum mag was left inside once he emptied it. EDIT: Derp. Just saw that Karl said that already.
  6. I had to work with what I had laying around. I did watch a couple videos, and read some walk-throughs on Arfcom. I also looked at pics of shaved FSB's, to see what I had to end up with. It really wasn't hard, once you get up the nerve fire up the dremel and start cutting. The delta ring only took 2 cuts on opposing sides to pop right off. The spring can actually be removed without cutting, if you get two pairs of needle-nose pliers, squeeze the spring together, and twist it off. Then, for the FSB, all you really gotta do is hack off the big parts with a cutting disc and the
  7. From the album: Randomness.

Found this while looking for a different meme. Thought it was pretty funny.
  8. Just like before the first time I ever converted a Saiga, or cut off a tang........I was hesitant about hacking the FSB down on one of my uppers and cutting off the delta ring/spring. But just like the Saiga conversions, after I did it, I said to myself "Well that wasn't so hard!". So I bought a Spikes 14.5" upper with a pinned DynaComp to bring it to the legal 16". With a setup like this, your options are limited in what you can do with it, since the comp is pinned on (I knew this well before purchasing the upper, but I've never had a 14.5" upper before, so I felt that I "needed" one
  9. Kinda my plans, except I hope to get a bootleg copy so they get fucked just that little bit, since neither DISH nor AMC cares about their viewers ..... Torrents, my friend, torrents. Anything you could ever want to see (and some things you don't ever want to see) are available. Or so I've been told. I'm a law abiding citizen and would never illegally download something like that.
  10. You must send me $42 via USPS money order, and then you shall be granted access. PM me for my mailing info.
  11. Yep. The part of the season premier that I caught the other day, they were chasing something in the woods (go figure, lol) and Josh tried to cross a creek and got swept downstream a little ways. Before it cut to commercial, you see a girl yelling dramatically like he was about to go over Niagara Falls.
  12. Being able to penetrate a kevlar vest isn't exactly "armor piercing", is it? Is kevlar considered "armor"? Honest question. That being said............if a bad guy decides to throw some trauma plates into the mix, I don't think 5.7 is going to penetrate it. Admittedly, I'm no expert on the issue, though. I do know that the 5.7's penetrating abilities have always been hyped up by things like the Brady campaign stating that all 5.7 is "armor piercing".
  13. There's definitely creatures in the woods that haven't been discovered yet, IMO. Hell, just a few years ago, they found some 200LB goat like animal somewhere in Asia that had never been known to even exist. Sure, it's not a 7' ape. But still, a 200LB animal that had never been known to exist or had been seen before? I have to believe there's plenty of other stuff out there, waiting to be discovered. I love watching shows about Bigfoot. It's one of my guilty pleasures. I also think the same goes for ocean creatures. I'll bet there's many things that humans have yet to lay eyes on.
  14. I'm sure you'll love the show. The only character that bugs me is his sister Deb, mostly because of the painfully skinny, freaky-lookin chick they cast in that role who they keep insisting is "hot". I'm 2 episodes in so far, and yeah, Deb is gangly. Dex's girlfriend is pretty hot, though. Isn't Vince Masuka hilarious? Great cast. The crazy English chick and Rita are both very nice. Is Masuka the Asian forensics guy? I didn't make it past Season 1, Episode 2 yet.
  15. Love me some Jael! .............and maybe she's even a shooter! I see some proper trigger finger placement. Could be a good sign, or someone told her. She was on Destination Truth for the first few seasons, and now she's on Fact or Faked. But with both shows, pay attention........the host guys ALWAYS have her on their "team" on both shows. Smart guys. "OK, so why don't <insert other team members> go that way, and Jael and I will go this way".
  16. I used to love Destination Truth, before they ran out of mysterious creatures to chase, and started doing paranormal stuff (booooring). The new season just started and I caught a few minutes of it. I know damn well they're never going to actually find any hard evidence, but I still watched it anyway. I like shows about unknown creatures. It's just TV. I also will watch an episode of "Fact or Faked" on SyFy, if I swing by Hulu and watch it online. Same thing. I know they're not going to find anything concrete, but it's still entertaining. To me, anyway. Hell...........these shows
