Just wondering if anyone has tried shooting 3 1/2" out of their S12. I accidently picked up a couple boxes. And didnt realize till I got home and saw the recipet for $30 for 3 5rd boxes. I only have a couple buddies that shoot the 3 1/2" but they dont want it because it's #4B. Anyways long story goes is I tried it out in the gun and it seats fine and ejects when the bolt is racked hard. Would it be safe to shoot one or 2 rounds just for shits and giggles? Would the gun blow up in my face? Thanks AJ

I had a blast today at the NCCR tactical shotgun match. John, and Eric smoked that course. Great times guys. I really appreciate loaning me the mags. Its not too hard to hit the targets but knowing when to shoot them takes some skill. Can't wait till next month hopefully Ill have the day off.

What kind of shells do you guys usually shoot. Ive got a couple different things in the closet. Remington Sure shot heavy dove 7 1/2, Remmy Nitro STS Sporting Clays 7 1/2, Winchester target loads Wal-mart 100pk 7 1/2. My gun has a poly choke on it and will probably have it in the full position at first.

I'm planning to come out to the July 21st tactical shotgun match at NCRR. What should I bring. Also are spectators welcome? Thanks AJ

I bought one of those from gilbert guns. It is just a 5 rounder with a factory limter. Ive been using it at 5 rd capacity since I got it.

Yo bro, Good to meet you at the range the yesterday. No I would think there was something defective with the buffer or you've been shooting magnums on the low gas setting. I think I got a blackeye from that slug you let me shoot But I would call Randy at Blackjack, send him the pic, and he'd probably send you another one. Thats exactly what I did. Also ordered a buffer technologies buffer to see if that last any longer.

Has anyone used the buffer technology buffer or the tapco buffer? In the picture they seem quite a bit more stout than the BJB but als cost a bit more.

I installed a BJB recoil buffer on my saiga. Its been on for every round fired. I tore it down after putting a little over 200 rounds through it and here is what I found. This buffer has less than 500 rds on it. Is this typical. The BJB buffer in my SKS has well over 1000 rounds and doesnt even looked touch (and its the same soft materail). I know the S-12 has a lot more ass than an SKS but I figured I would get at least 1000rds out of it. Are there any better buffers on the market? Thanks AJ

I should check this post more often I wouldve loved to come out today. Who do I need to talk with about coming out to these meets? I'd like to try something different than shooting paper and clays.

my mags ran almost flawlessly today. only had 2 hiccups. cycling some cheap 3" steel shot that had been hand cycled a few times and sitting in mags for a week, and Remington Law Enforcement 00Buck. With the Remington every round it would not push the round up enough and the breech would snag and crush the brass. I also had the gas cylinder set on 1 so this being a low recoil round maybe it wasnt cocking back fully since these were the last of about 250 rounds for the day. Overall Im happy with my 10 rd mags and once I run some more rounds through will be very satisfied.

Ive got 2 of the newer AGP mags. They have feeding problems so I dissasembled and used some graphite to lube up. The follower doesnt hang up anymore. Only one dry cycles decent but you have to hold it tight into the magwell. I put a dab of hot glue on both, to keep them tightly sitting in the magwell, and will take them to the range today.

I just ordered on 2 rd and 1 5rd The 2 rod is just a 5 rd with a factory plug. I dissasembled and they are identical. I will be ordering more from them.

I just ordered a Saiga 12 with 24" barrel. I plan on using the gun for hunting, skeet, and just dicking around so I opted for the longer barrel. I neglected to read the first page where is said the 24"ers came with full choked barrels. Has anyone shot slugs through the 24" S12s. The reason I bought the gun was to shoot slugs and shot. Do I need to have the barrel shortened and threaded. Thanks AJ
