I doubt if they needed his work so much as they found it difficult or impossible to design around his patent. Why not? If Mossberg owns the patent now, or have at least licensed exclusive rights, it isn't like somebody else will be able to come along and beat them to the punch by putting it on a semi. And if the semi were available first, most buyers would likely bypass the pump and go straight to the semi. This way, they can sell detachable doublestack pumps for a year or two, and then when they come out with the semi version, sell a bunch of those to people who already bought

Preach on, bro. The town where I grew up, a guy could basically arrive in town with all of his belongings in a backpack, and through hard work make something of himself in the fishing industry. Have known several guys like that, one of whom basically spent his first night in town sleeping under one of my dad's trucks (we were in the transport end of the business). You could start out as a deckhand, and retire a fairly well off boat/permit owner, and have a worthwhile business to leave to your kids. Or, if you weren't as ambitious, but still willing to work hard, there was more or less year -

A perspective of "cold"

It was pretty nice here through Tuesday... 45 degrees with rain, all the main roads were bare. Then on Wednesday winter returned with a vengeance. Snow and temperature hovering around freezing, which is usually worst for traction. When it gets down below zero traction gets a lot better even if the roads are still covered with ice. -

That's not completely true. In a modern vehicle with functional ABS, it doesn't help you so much. In an older vehicle or one with the ABS inoperative, tying the front and rear axles together makes it less likely that a single wheel or axle will lock up. Also, the brake proportioning valve is set up to send most of the braking power to the front. That's what you want normally. However, especially with a non ABS, rear wheel drive only vehicle with an automatic, trying to come to a stop on ice, it's quite common for the front wheels to lock up, and the rear wheels to still be driving the veh -
It's clear that you have no real concept of what it means to live under a true tyranny, nor of how much less tyrannical the US government is than what the British government that we threw off has become, or in fact how much less so it is than pretty much every other country out there. Yes, the government has some tyrannical aspects to it, and the fight against tyranny here will never end, but for fuck's sake, if you are not a dirtbag, in pretty much every state you can legally carry a firearm most places. There are very few other countries where an ordinary citizen can do that. Yes, having

I think Remington has simply out-marketed Savage. From the perspective of working on both Savage and Remington bolt guns, if I ever buy a bolt gun, it will be a Savage. I'm not crazy about the Accu-trigger, but it works well after getting used to it. Decades' worth of pre-accutrigger Savages out there, that can be rebarreled at home by anyone with a few hand tools. Timney makes a pretty good replacement trigger for them, too. Mine didn't have the Accu-trigger. The plain old trigger is super easy to work, though, and there are plenty of instructional videos. I made it so there

No, they're actually not. They are a hybrid that uses elements of both AR-10 "standards" (along with some proprietary shit) and have fun adding upgrades and trying to figure out what parts will work. My brother built a PA-10 and is now looking at replacing it with Aero Precision's version of the AR-10. By the time he got it together and working he hated the thing. http://out-of-battery.com/palmetto-state-armory-psa-ar-10-parts-compatability/ Gee...my experience was completely different, but then again, I bought current parts from them, not "new company growing pains parts". I wo
