  1. Ouch Doc! lol I should have said loose a tooth again! I knocked out my right upper with a pistol grip shotgun when I was 11.
  2. For me the biggest benefit would be taming the blast off of the 8" barrel. I shoot my Saiga in local matches and the suppressor would give a little more back pressure and allow me to wear just a regular set of ear plugs without ear muffs and not end up with ringing in my ears at the end of a full day of shooting. I don't care if it is hollywood quiet, I just want to keep that concussive blast off of my face or I might end up loosing a tooth like Bob!

    LRBHO ?????

off topic but what is the deal with the calico mac uppers? The 9mm upper is out for the M11 but not for the M10. 22 version is in ATF black hole: stuff goes in for approval and never comes out. I finally got off the list and asked for a refund last week, almost 2 years to the day.
  4. I have a Limbsaver on my Saiga and couldn't be happier.
  5. I asked Tony at Tromix this question and he said the barrel was too thin to do this.
  6. I have a polychoke II on an 8" Tromix. It does tighten up the pattern quite a bit. I have factory choke tubes but I just haven't compared them to the poly. Don't expect the Polychoke to turn your shorty into a spear thrower, it will still have a big pattern even on the extra full setting. I had a barrel extension made to get the gun back to 18" for competition because that short barrel just won't generate enough fps to knock over steel at any significant distance.
  7. Went by the shop today to pick up my shorty. That new trigger is very nice. I had to brave the cold and go to the range for about an hour. Much faster followups and that polychoke sure helps. Bob: I got the lowdown on the 600 PileDriver. It takes a certain kind of man to pull that one off! LOL I can't believe I missed that thread.
  8. This doesn't make it "drop free" right?
  9. I will wear that wussie label with pride then. I an 8" shorty and I do not feel like more of a man with the bare stock. I had a limbsaver pad put on the gun and I can shoot it all day and never feel it after. I have a theory that those who feel the need to shoot a shotgun without a recoil pad are trying to compensate for something Really though, I shoot this gun in competition and I can shoot hundreds of rounds without any pain or bruising, it makes it more fun to shoot for me and everybody who has tried it. Just depends on what you are going to do with your gun but I don't think the
  10. Don't feel bad, I knocked out one of my front teeth with a pistol grip shotgun a few years back. I swear I should walk around with a helmet on most of the time.
  11. Mine differs by having the Galil charging handle, ring rear sight on a standard HK mount, Galil grip and limb saver pad. It will be sporting a PolyChoke this week too. I thought about trying to get it to cowitness but I didn't think there was an adapter to mount the JPoint onto the rear sight mount. If you know of one then let me know and I will give it a try. Tony recommended a side mount to get the JPoint up and clear the HK front sight. It is a regular side mount that I modified by shortening the rail to allow the Galil charging handle to clear the optic and not skin my fingers w
  12. Thanks Bob! I really like it. I picked up a JPoint this week which should take away any disadvantage with the short sight radius. The rules make me shoot it in open class because of the magazine so I might as well take advantage of the optic. That competition stock is really nice and Tony is putting in the short reset trigger as well. Nice gun Jeaux, welcome to the shorty club!
  13. Yep, that would be my shorty. I don't have a sore cheek at the end of the day and I have an advantage getting around corners with the short length. Tony put on a limbsaver pad and turned the gun into a pussycat. I don't think I could love a human baby more than I love that shotgun.(not really but that line from blades of glory is hilarious)
  14. Cobra are you talking about the surefire mags? I keep hoping that the new Saiga 12S mags will filter into the US along with some magwell versions. I can't figure out why the 12S can't be imported if the Russians put a straight stock on it.
  15. Dude, your keyboard is just wrong, wait a minute...... mine is a freaking dust bunny trap too!
