  1. here is thread where that shows demos of various flash hiders and brakes. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=59345&st=0&p=564787&hl=leadslinger&fromsearch=1entry564787 New one i just rand across: slant,birdcage,74 and krink clikc on see all in small blue letters under right hand column to get them all. http://www.youtube.com/user/strat81718 hope it helps in you decision. I would like to find a video of a 4 piece bulg. cone flashhider on a stock rifle to see how it looks and perfoms.
  2. OK help me out with this one. I am curious as to what advantage it offers over the stock front sight? It looks as though you are adding weight (55 g.) to the front end as this unit bolts right to the existing FSB using the windage nut from your weapon. does it just raise the front sight?
  3. all My drums were pre ban. the Chinese is easier to load and keep in storage then if you need just turn it a few times and ready to go. i don't like the idea of having to make sure you turn it enough. have sen on videos where people get down to last group of rounds and it needs the tension increased to finish off drum. the two Russian drums i have are the tab load (for lack of better term). Not really that bad to load. some have had problems with them not having correct spring tension. Mr.loacknload on you tube has a great instructional video on how to dismantle and check for function an
  4. OK just to help clear things up for an old brain.... general consensus wolf mc 124 grain in what looks like cammo box best option, then generic wolf jhps along with various bear types as long as they range 122 to 124 grain?
  5. 7.62 x 39 http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot16_5.htm .223 http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot16_3.htm there are a series of gel tests with various 7.62 x 39 rounds. I did a little unofficial research and it seems these hollow points actually do well hunting. the soft points have given some feeding problems. I do think the mc JHP 8m3 seem to be the way to go for cheap effective rounds. Turning concealment into cover and able to put food on the table if need be appeals to me.
  6. and now for something completely different. I did a little research on the web (totally random and unscientific of course) reading other forums on this subject and the consensus seems that the modern Russian MC round usually has that hollow tip causing yawing after about 3 inches of penetration. the JHP also has seen good results in taking dear down reliably. I think boat tailed ammo did better. The soft point had some feed problems. than there is the box of truth. nice exit hole from 7.62 x 39 through level 111A. http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot16_5.htm the shock wave of th
  7. who sells the one you are looking at? Mi doesn't require mod. check you tube there is a video on its installation.
  8. check out ammoman usually all prices include shipping. still there is classic arms, J&g sales, centerfiresystems etc. all pretty decent and quick to get to you. easiest way is to go to ammo now dot com and see best prices on the net.
  9. nice looking rifle. What is the deal with the mag catch? what do yo mean by .223 military mags.
  10. I don't know of any dealer or retailer that will ship high cap mags to a state that will not allow them. they would loose their ability to do business.
  11. no worries it was something to do on my night off. I am working 10pm to 7am and have three days off so i needed something to keep me from going stir crazy. I agree with you that the slant brake does show a considerable difference in the muzzle flip and it does seem to give the DRACO a straight back push. I would really like to see some night shots of it to see how the slant brake does with it. In one of those comparison videos the slant brake didn't seemed to fair pretty well. Seems to me that putting lighter plastic furniture and one of those MAGPUL AFG ANGLED FORE-GRIPs would
  12. I don't think the mojo or the krebs will do that unless you drill out the rear aperture.

  16. Sorry about the links nailbomb...my bad....I hope these are ok? Honestly from viewing these comparison videos it looks like the vortex/acc blackout and wolverine doe the best for flash. I can't say about brake capabilities. I think the Most would say that the AK74 would be your best bet but then it wouldn't meet your size requirement. I do know from experience that the j-tac was loud but it did settle the AMD 65 front end down quite a bit. I haven't Dont enough research other than this to provide more in depth info. Like i am not sure about the phantom/wolverine/acc blackout/vo
  17. i amost forgot about kings Armory. check out the info on their web page. <Link Removed>
  18. i use Krebs peep rear and XS 24/7 front post. great quick sight acquisition with a little practice) and decent for repeatable accurate bench shots 100-200 (not tack driver but close enough for me).
  19. I had one for my old AMD65 build worked just as advertised. i thin they have some video on youtube. although the FSC47 looks even better. <link Removed>
  20. don't use them but interested in what kinds of issues they may or have caused? always good to pick up new info. thanks in advance
  21. pics of the inside of handguard would be nice. did you do it or someone else? How does it work with serious sustained fire or multiple mag dump. melting?
