  1. Comrade, where is your #3 Buttstock Clamp? I not see #3 Buttstock Clamp.
  2. I'll probably make it as close to pre-ban as legally possible keeping with the OEM stock. However, I did pick up a Molot metal AR-type stock adapter just in case I change my mind.
  3. From the pictures I reckon that an engagement with the safety mechanism will need to be dremmeled off, and then the block must be tack welded or otherwise restrained in the forward position. Okay, maybe not as quick as a shot of vodka, but definitely faster than I can power through a whole bottle.
  4. Removed or disabled, whichever is easier. I'm sorry about the marking thing. I suspect that it was simply an oversight on the webpage. There may be a downside to going with Russian markings however. The importer marking appears to be considerably more prominent on the Cyrillic model than on the S/F style I have seen in pictures.
  5. Actually, they had both US or Russian style marking available at the time of my order. I was told to request my preference in the Additional Comments block. I chose Cyrillic. If those sneaky Russians dared to put some buttstock/safety linkage thingy on my firearm, that shits gonna hit the bottom of the trash can quicker than you can slam down a shot of vodka and exclaim, "Nostrovia!" I'm going with the factory base folder. I figured that in a year or so when my tax stamp gets approved I'll remove that placeholder muzzle device and put whatever I want on the barrel with no need for a ta
  6. Okay, got me a VPO-205-00 430 on the way. Just one minor detail of a tax stamp later and I will be as cool as PapaZorro! Well...maybe not AS cool, but I'll have the same shotgun.
  7. How much does a safety like that cost?
  8. Count me as impressed. It looks like Legion raised the Vepr bar with this offering. Makes it hard for a fella to keep an intact piggy bank.
  9. They have some interesting stuff out today. This model in particular would be turn-key albeit a bit pricey, but the non-removable muzzle attachment is a deal breaker for me unless it's just a small tack weld. http://legionusainc.com/vepr-12-shotgun.html Then they got this one, but it looks like they fubar'd the rear folder to allow the factory railed handguard to be used. A very unwise tradeoff if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, I love the new offerings! Just providing a little honest customer feedback. Also there's a pretty cool Saiga 12K in the lineup. It doesn't have
  10. I want to buy one of those sponsor T-shirts.
  11. Nice! Does the Magpul stubby feel rock solid on that rail?
  12. If I were to buy and mod one, I'd make the cut similar to the YHM-9631.
  13. There is an internal RemChoke adapter that I have seen for Saiga 12s on Gunbroker.
  14. Agreed. And it would be cool to have Wolf Performance Arms as your importer's mark. But besides a fully metal top rail, what other possibilities are out there?
  15. If it blocks the front post on a properly zeroed firearm, then it is blocking the correct sight picture. I assume you can select a longer distance setting on the rear sight to raise it above the rail, and use this for your new zero. On a CQB shotgun this might be no big deal to some I suppose. However, on a rifle I would channel it on my mill. I would on my vepr shotgun too if I were to buy the rail. (I'm thinking about it)
  16. Actually, I believe those were imported from the factory like that without any stateside mods.
  17. Looks like they could mill a channel down the center of the top rail and resolve any interference with the iron sights.
  18. I'll throw out a WAG... 2000 1K fixed, 1K folders. Did I win anything?!!
  19. If there is enough meat on the thin side the gunsmith can just set it up in the lathe using a 4 jaw and centering to the bore before cutting external threads.
  20. Might be that it is actually the muzzle threads that are not cut concentric to the bore. Perhaps you can shorten the barrel length slightly and have a good gunsmith thread the barrel carefully yet still be over the legal minimum length.
  21. Awesome photo manual. Welcome back indeed!
  22. I hope that works out for you, but I got a feeling it would be a major PITA because the droop is there by design.
  23. I feel for you guys. You did exactly what seemed like the smart move at the time to get your Vepr to a near-100%-factory state. Now, factory sidefolders have been imported and sold since that time, and y'all are still stuck playing the waiting game. I'm confident they will show up for you eventually, and I don't suspect actual malice on Oleg's part, but I can imagine y'alls frustration. If it were me, I would buy the factory sidefolder while it is currently available and sell the fixed version, or the folding stock, or both, separately. I would cut my expenditures and not pay to have a convers
  24. Bet there's some Russian guy drooling over his keyboard right about now. lol
