  1. The problem is consistent FTF's. While I had it apart, I noticed these other things. It will close when the bolt is allowed to slam foward on its own.
  2. It only has maybe 300 rounds through it. Its a 1983 GP model. Everything appears to be straight but when the bolt locks up I can see the end of the Oprod move to right off center of the gas block while the tube is removed. I also has a good wear line on the bottom of the front part of the carrier that rides in the tube. The Oprod is tight in the carrier (no play). I have heard different views on whether it should be tight or loose. I installed a Tom Cole on my S12 without issue. Maybe i will just remove and reinstall with a pin, leaving a little play. This may help a little, but Im thinking i
  3. Looks like it also has another possible issue. The bolt and carrier get in a bit of a bind when entering the front trunnion and the bolt turns. Not the same as the whole last 1/2 inch as discussed with the S12. It closed fine without a round in it. When you have a round in the extractor it gets tight as hell both in and out. You can see the carrier lifting up and watch the bolt in the rear of it going to the side. The round going in the chamber is acting like a BAT and forcing the bolt to follow. I am in the process of painting and seeing where it rubs off. BAT= Bolt Alignment Tool. Sorry
  4. Found these surfing. It was the chamber that I was thinking of modding. I was not sure what the negative effects could be. To be honest, I would not use a gunsmith for any of this.
  5. Thanks for your time. To troubleshoot the feeding issues, I am just moving the bolt slowly (gently) by hand. I am watching it grab a round and where it is hitting. I did try putting upwards pressure on the carrier and it it did not help. Mag wobble is limited. I am doing all this with the firing pin removed. I sure do see alot of pics on the web of people adding a angle the the factory one in the 8 to 6 position. I can just imagine this trying to feed with hollow points.
  6. Will do. I did a little research and the mags I have are both Romanian. O and F stamps on the spine. Damn these things have some sharp edges.
  7. Picked up a Wasr 10 the other day from a family member. I had shot it with him before and knew it had some feeding issues. The two mags he had for it both act the same. They do not feed consistenly. I am not sure of the maker as they are unmarked. Have some Bulgarians on the way, just in case. I bought this because I enjoy tinkering with the AK platform. I thought since my S12 was running like a raped ape, I needed a new project. I have attached a few pictures that show where the round is hitting when feeding (red arrows). Is this normal for the WASR. You can see the marks left behind. The
  8. Cobra, I have always refered to something like that as a DIE (for external threads). Maybe I have learned a new term here. Is this some kind of DIE with a guide attached? Is it a gunsmithing tool term? FORDBOY
  9. Members, I have been seeing the word TAT used for a long time here and it is driving me nuts. The word is TAP, as in a TAP & DIE set. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong and there is some other meaning of the tool referenced as TAT. Sorry if I offended anyone, but enough is enough. Sincerely, FORDBOY
  10. I am currently dealing with CS on an order placed about two weeks ago. I ordered 250 rounds of Centurion 12 ga multi defense. They sent me 250 rounds of Noble Sport 12ga multi defense. The NS rounds are longer than the Centurion and do not feed right using the MD20 drum. I contacted CS via email and a few days later they responded and said they would look into it and see what happened. I am still waiting for a 2nd response. I will post the results (either way) after I have given them a chance to make it right. I understand their policy on not returning ammo and why. I also see thei

  14. My family was traveling overseas. We were in a mall in Thailand when I apparently walked away from my parents hand. The malls were very crowded there. I was found and taken in by a stranger. I was then sold to a local whorehouse. I made them alot of money being a young blonde haired American boy. I eventually reunited with my family after 8 years in that Thai whorehouse. After years of counseling, I think I turned out pretty well. Sincerely, THAIBOY PS "Joe Dirt" was not a funny movie to me.

  20. In my opinion, they did good. They dropped for cover, provided cover fire when requested. They didnt expell thousand of rounds or get too excited about the ambush . They certainly didnt waste alot of rounds at targets that may have already left the area. Makes me Proud It also reminds me that you can't look at these kids 18 thru 21 years of age at the mall or corner store the same. They could very well be teens with a couple tours under their belt. God Bless Em''' TYBOY
  21. To the Saiga Community, I do apologize for my comments. I am still a little angry about Grey's comments in the other topic. However, as a car enthusiest I could not help but attacking him for being proud of a chipped VW. I will cease all further comments about this topic and try and refrain from my personal views on such important topics. I hope I did not offend anyone by my views. Sincerely, TYBOY

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL Like a chipped VW is really that far from a Prius. I really dont want to seem like a troll but, If your going to start a thread about "what you drive", at least dont make it so easy to dog on you.
