  1. I apologize in advance for the lengthy post. I'm a Saiga newbie and trying really hard to not become frustrated on the ammo front. I'm looking for current advice on 3" ammo for my lightly used Saiga .410. For my rig, I have: Two 15-rd 3" SureFire Gun magazines One 30-rd ProMag 3" Drum that works well One 4-rd 3" factory magazine I had a heavy handful of 3" Remington and Winchester game loads and I burned through them verifying the weapon and all the mags worked properly. Everything worked well, with the gas setting on 1. So lately I've been searching for .410 shells from onlin
  2. I have 2 of the MD-20 drums, and while fun, they are quite bulky. I was thinking about getting a couple of the Promag 12-round drums to see if they offer a better tradeoff between bulk, weight, and ammo capacity. Can you insert a fully-loaded Promag drum with the bolt closed, or are they like the MD drums, where the bolt has to be locked to the rear before you can seat a fully-loaded mag?
  3. UPDATE 07/23/14: EVERYTHING IS SOLD Hi guys, I am looking to sell the following Saiga-12 drums. NOTE ABOUT SAIGA-12 DRUMS: These drums are designed for the Saiga-12 models without a mag well only and WILL NOT WORK in the mag well equipped Saiga-12s, Vepr-12s or Cantamount Furies. Due to the liberal manufacturing tolerances causing slight variations in mag catch sizes between different Saiga-12 weapons, both MD Arms and ProMag ship their drums with generously oversized locking lugs and fitting instructions which involve filing. They might lock into your gun as they are or they might requi
  4. SOLD Hi guys, I have a Promag 10 round Saiga-12 drum for sale. It's in like new condition. It's been taken out of its packaging, loaded and inserted into my shotgun just one time, but I never even took it out of the house. I threw away the packaging, so you get only the drum and the fitting instructions paper slip. It didn't need any fitting for my gun. It's covered by ProMag's life-time warranty. I will not ship this drum to the following places: Alaska California Colorado District of Columbia Hawaii Illinois Maryland Massachusetts New Jersey New York Asking price: $55 $5
  5. Hi guys, I have always kind of wanted to get a 12 round "nutsack" drum for my S-12. Saw one on sale at Cabela's and picked it up. Long story short: after I've appropriated it and threw away the packaging and receipt, I discovered that it's actually a 10 round drum! I had not idea that they made these! Any way, I've now picked up a 12 rounder at an LGS and instantly noticed that it's EXACTLY the same size as the 10 rounder. WTF is the point of 10 rounders, anyhow?!? Legality in some states? So, the question is, since they are the same size, might it be possible to mod the 10 rounder to take
  6. STOCK FINALLY CAME IN! Mosin Nagant 91/30, with turned down bolt handle, rail tapped and mounted, and Archangel Stock. Shoots very nice. Currently the barrel is floated, but I'm going to have to see if it shoots better with the barrel fixed. Promag sent a block to fix the barrel just in case I've got one of the 10% that shoot better w/o the barrel floated. Please don't tease me about the scope. It's a cheapy I traded for, until I can afford to get the Nikon Prostaff 9-9x50mm. I'm all out of gun funds in the budget for the year, so looks like I can't get that 'till Taxmas. Haven't

  8. I've heard of more expensive and elusive mags, but yet to have seen one. I've read a lot of forums and see almost nothing but positive feedback. I know them to be tough as nails and dependable, but I would like to hear YHO There are many types of mags, but few built like this 30-40 round arcuated staggered magazine, tough as tank, light as a feather. Are the Bulgarian Circle 10 manufactured magazines are considered the best polymer (manufactured from glass fiber reinforced polycaproamide PAS-30) magazines because they have a true steel mounting lug in the front and in the back. While also

  11. Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and have a few questions... please excuse my lack of knowledge as I just purchased my saiga 12 a couple of days ago (literally). 1) I want to get a few 20 round drums.. I saw most people it seems recommend the MD20 vs. the promag drum? Is there any reason why? I couldn't find much information on it... I was thinking of using a slidefire stock would one be better for this than the other? 2) I was anxious to get my gun to the range after I bought it.. I fired some nobel sport LE buckshot (00 12 pellets) and it worked flawlessly. I didn't really unders
  12. New Saiga 12 owner here, and I picked up a couple of ProMag 10 round magazines. Like most, I am experiencing where the back of the magazine doesn't click into the release catch. I have read that they come with instructions but my magazines didn't come with any. I emailed ProMag, and here is the reply that I received... Okay, I tried pulling the magazine in tight, but that didn't work. So, if I am reading this correctly...I need to file the area just under the magazine catch on the back of the magazine? Like...increase the space between the bottom of the rear magazine catch
  13. Kind of amazed when I saw that Cabelas had these 10 and 20 round drums in stock: http://www.cabelas.com/product/ProMag-Saiga-Shotgun-Drum-Magazines/1318792.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dsaiga%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=saiga&WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products#BVQAWidgetID
  14. Back when these were first introduced, I invested in these when the price was still reasonable. Since then I have tried the various fixes to make them reliable. They are much improved, but still not 100%. I have come to the conclusion that ultimately the springs are not strong enough. I am planning to get a MDA drum (or two) but I don't want to part with the mags that I have so much time and money invested in. Question is, has anyone cut the 10-rounders down to 5's and did it fix the feed issues?
