Superhawk138 202
I got thinking of trying to build my .410 as a bullpup. Should I, YES or NO ???????????????????????????????/
probasco 0
would make an even better home defense gun being shorter.
Nico Cujo 1
would make an even better home defense gun being shorter. It would be sweet. Where do you get a kit from?

I'm not going to use a pre fabricated kit i'm thinking of using a amd lower handguard for my pistol grip and trigger mech then making a stock that will hide the original trigger guard. fun part is a reliable linkage for the FCG, Wish me luck
Twinsen 86
Good luck... finding magazines!
Superhawk138 202
Good luck... finding magazines! I allready have magazines (Although a couple 10 rounders would be nice)
Twinsen 86
That's what I meant. Pin and plate shoots I do all have at least 5 plates.
Psee 0
Go for it! And keep us posted on the progress.
Superhawk138 202
Go for it! And keep us posted on the progress. Today I messed around with it and installed a front and rear sight base removable gas tube cut barrel down to 18 1/4" from 21 1/2" with wood furniture untill i can get my bullpup parts
chris410 0
That would be pretty neat, I have the Mossy 500 BP (although it is for sale) and despite some shortsightedness on Mossbergs part, I love the compactness and even the overall feel is nice. I think its 10" shorter than a standard 500. They are interesting.
Superhawk138 202
Scored a amd lower handguard today and some free time. I'm still trying to get the linkage right. So this is where i'm at so far Edited January 20, 2008 by Superhawk138
chris410 0
Damn, youre moving right along, pretty cool. I dont know what you have in mind for the linkage, but I can get you some photos of the Mossy setup if you'd like. It is just 2 flat pieces of metal that come off the relocated trigger and then a nylon pulley that joins the 2 pieces inside the trigger guard of the main trigger and actuate it. Cant wait to see how that ends up.

I had a metal rod snaking its way through there but it was hard to pull, Now i'm thinking along the lines of a cable like seen on Confederateducks bullpup build http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=22356
Motopilot1 37
cant wait to see it, now i just need to build one and make it left handed Edited January 20, 2008 by motopilot1
JK-47 33
looks very cool! how are you going to handle the sights on the gun? are you going for optics or open sights?
Joe Blasco 1
You made the coolest Saiga .410 I've ever seen! Kudos !!! Please post as many details and photos as you can. It's really great! Joe
Superhawk138 202
looks very cool! how are you going to handle the sights on the gun? are you going for optics or open sights? Thank You. I'm trying to find a gas tube with retainers. Then i can put a upper HG with a rail to mount my red dot scope.
Superhawk138 202
I got my cable ran and hooked up. That pulls so much better than my rod linkage i made the first time. Everything works by hand pretty good without binding up. I'll be able to shoot it this weekend.
Psee 0
Man, it's coming along great! Just wish I shoot a bullpup (lefty here)...
rytas 0
I used a cable on mine as well, but I silver soldered a brass slider tube made for the cable to the inside of the stamped plate, this made it so the cable didn't rub anything on it's way back and also made it so a touch of dry slide keeps it damn near frictionless....got the cable and the slide tube at a RC plane hobby store. I didn't like the triger pull with the standard release parts and wound up making four different mechanisms till I designed one that had bearrings that got the feel of the triger light enough and short enough. If I get arround to it I will try to take some pictures of the mechanism.
G O B 3,516
Not a bull lover, but nicely done!
Superhawk138 202
I shot my bullpup a few times within the past couple weeks. It feels light and balanced in this configuration. My cable linkage is working smooth I'll get some detailed pics inside and out after I shoot then clean it.
rytas 0
I haven't been back here in a couple of years, but I got to say this place rocks, so many new ideas and people that are doing them instead of just talking about it. This forum has got some talent.
docwade 3
I like it, I wish people would post more.
Saiga_rom 91
i really like the idea of building a rifle as a bull pup design. having a slightly longer barrel will increase muzzle velocity, and itl still be short and compact if its a bull pup design.
