Phoenix Maximus 1 Posted July 28, 2009 Report Share Posted July 28, 2009 Well, I pulled the proverbial trigger and got the Ruger SR9.Haven't taken it out yet, but the price was right, NIB & came with a Viridian green laser and a black hawk holster! Sweet! with me losing my job and all this was right in my price range too. Thanks for everyone's input and thoughts, I really like most of the pistols people suggested, though some were out of my price range Thanks! :wub: :wub: good choice, hope you love it as much as I love mine. unclejake 428 Posted August 20, 2009 Report Share Posted August 20, 2009 (edited) I also have an SR9 and LOVE it!! Mine has the black stainless slide. It is a really sweet, accurate pistol. Trigger is really respectable especially for a striker fire system. Normally I am a single action 1911 man and always will be, but the SR9 is a hoot to shoot and with that many rounds at hand, it should get you out of a situation...or get you back to your Saiga! As far as mags, mine was in the recall, so I sent it in and when I got it back, they sent a free extra mag for the trouble. They were extremely quick about getting it done and the free mag didn't hurt! I'll prolly pick up one more mag for it and that should be all that I would need...one in the pistol and two extra for any unpleasent surprises. I really like the adjustable sights too. The mag release is really hard to depress sometimes, that's kind of annoying, anyone have any ideas?
