Thanks Nathan. Now maybe they can finally realize there is a whole lot more to it than meets the eye, and just sit back and find something else to do with their time...besides shaking the damn bushes every month thinking that's helping any damn thing get done faster.....

I hear where you are coming from, but consider this: What if someone here accidently or by natural causes dies before they can experiance a Last Shot Bolt Hold open device? No one knows which day is their last. They would never have had the chance to experiance the LSBHO. Please for the love of God keep plugging away at it and put it on the market once it's ready. Hell, I even make you coffee so that you can keep working.

If they want a LRBHO as a last request before expiring, then I am concerned about their priorities in life....... Hell I'd risk an STD with Jenna Jamison. Just saying....... I can think of a better thing to do :smoke:

OK maybe I was exaggerating a bit, but a LRBHO would be very cool and a very marketable product. I would most certainly buy one.

Jenna Jamison??? Have you seen her lately, after all that plastic surgery butchery to her face? :ded: Not to mention she needs to eat a cheeseburger or 2  . She looks like a Saiga conversion, gone bad.

Just sayin'.

I spent an afternoon or two trying to fab up a LRBHO for my AK, and i can tell you there is alot to it, the design of the ak and its magazines doesnt lend itself well to the concept, and creating sufficient leverage to lock the bolt back, and to be able to easily release it is a bit of a trick. Mine seemed like it would work, but the design i had for a bolt release was FAR too difficult to manipulate, and id much rather pay for cobra's product if it works as well as he says it does, which is evidently very well, and with a wide variety of magazines, something i dont have the testing time or opportunity to look into. He started on this a long while back, on this forum, and probably, by far, has the most experience and testing into any Saiga LRBHO design ever conceived of, i think we would definately serve ourselves well by supporting him in his venture.

That being said, Im all for these "Are we there yet" threads, which are a constant source of amusement. Maybe we should take turns starting a new one every day, and see how much cobra's blood pressure goes up? :haha:

You can tell I hadn't bought porn in a good while, all my money goes to support my other addictions. Just saying :smoke:

This is 2009. Who pays for porn anymore? :haha:

To keep on the subject......................I'll gladly wait for Cobra's LRBHO.

Why?

1) I'm not in a rush to get a LRBHO. It's a luxury for me, not a necessity.

2) He's a stand-up guy, and an asset to this forum.

Crusader...you...and your rosie palm patriot 12...and your wig wearing gothchick, all need to get a friggin life. If all three of yourself can be patient long enough, and not pester me any more about this, then maybe you can actually have one before you all go away to that big happy skitzo farm in the sky. I'll make my own coffee thanks.

ReverendFranz, I appreciate the kind words from someone like yourself who actually contributes something around here besides retarded drivel in the fight club.

That said, I think it's fucking pathetic for you to suggest starting any more LRBHO threads, much less one every fucking day. I'm sorry but I fail to see the humor there. I think it's disgusting actually. Whether you are kidding or not, I DO actually have very high blood pressure, and I am sick and tired of being the source of yours and others amusement around here when I deserve much better than that.

Maybe I should start my own brand new LRBHO thread? That way all these preschoolers can get all the latest poop right from the source on all things Saiga LRBHO. Yeah...that's it....I could sit here all day every day and answer every last question everyone just NEEDS to know the answers to yesterday....and that would make things move along just tons faster I'm sure!

NOT!

Maybe I should start a new thread every day myself? Maybe each one should start with a disclaimer?

"Anyone who is tired of waiting on me to get off my ass and actually produce this product that I've worked on now for over three years...post HERE. Anyone who thinks they have a better idea...POST HERE. Anyone who wants to further their amusement by seeing how pissed off they can get Cobra PLEASE POST HERE!!!"

Then I should start a preorder list where each of these fine folks gets first dibs on their order...no money down. All I need is a name, address, and phone number where I can confirm the address is real.

Then I can take down a huge list of names and make damn sure they never see a LRBHO from Cobra's Customs, delivered to any address remotely related to their own. That's just how fucking sick I am of being badgered and made fun of, after spending countless hours and my own money, my own ammo, and too much of my own gray hairs dealing with all the BS over this thing.

You think YOU wnat it out sooner? Ha! I DOUBT IT! If you really want it then leave me the hell alone or make your own.

You didn't used to be so irritable. Maybe the stress is finally getting to you. We just want a LRBHO, is that so wrong.

Ok, people you want answers well here is something to chew on.

What does the following MSA products have in common........... S-12 magwell and .223 Conversion. Simple they have not been released. Why you ask........ because Shannon and I are in the final development stages of LRBHO.

Just to clarify, the .223 will have a LRBHO with AR mags (That was my understanding anyway). Is there an S-12 magwell/LRBHO combo coming too or am I misunderstanding something here?

I ama new guy around here but all I know is that after trying to load the damn thing against a closed bolt for the first time I know I wanted this. I took my gun apart and started trying to figure it out and came up with an idea but if there is a good quality part in process no need for me to reinvent the wheel I will make something other thing I want and patiently wait for Cobra to do his thing. In the mean time maybe I can figure out how to put the mag in, I should know how anyway.

There are still final detail to work out. Shannon and I need some time to work on the adjustment of the LRBHO to make it cover all Saiga (Rifle and Shotgun) applications, of all mag types.

What a lot of people here are failing to realize that manufacturing and R&D is not like the 2am infomercial, results take time. Every change has to be tested, the smallest change to work on one rifle could cause it not to work on the shotgun. I bet none of you had even run a patent search as to see what you may be getting yourself in to legal wise......... it's not as cut and dry as you think. You have to tiptoe around existing patents as not to open you ass up to a lawsuit....... sure it's easy as hell to give someone else shit when it's not your ass on the line. :smoke:

Thanks for the support guys, and yes tacticool, that is the main goal, to have it work with everything, including drums. That's a big undertaking. It's actually very close finally, so please, lets all just wait patiently for a little longer and you will all get something that was more than you even thought was coming.

Well put. Take your time and when ever it does come out you can consider at least one unit sold. The worse thing we can do is rush the Life Cycle chart, but at least we have a Program Manager (PM) appointed and it seems that you have at least reached Milestone A. A standard life cycle can take about 10 years from the time the warfighter chooses a material solution to fill a capability gap to Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP). At least thats how Uncle Sam roles. Good things come to those who wait.

Will the planned Cobra LRBHO also work on California compliant "locked" magazine release modified Saiga's? I would expect they would but since I don't quite understand the method of engineering behind the LRBHO I thought I would ask the question. A simple yes no answer is cool.

Thanks!

Thats a question for the Program Manager.

It's a question that doesn't take said Program Manager to answer in all honesty. Use your head. Will a bolt hold open work with a mag lock? Think about it. What does it matter if you can remove the mag or not? How does that have anything to do with being able to hold the bolt? Even the old "cut into your mags" LRBHO would have worked with the commie mag locks.

Cobra's not going to answer and that's his prerogative.

You can either think about it an come to the same logical conclusion as myself or... don't.

I'd like to have a LRBHO too, but I've bugged Cobra too much already on some stuff I'm getting from him.

He's a great guy, and has been more help to me than anyone, so I don't want to add to his already heavy burden.

I have no doubt he'll announce it as soon as it's been tested, in production, and ready for sale.

I'll be one of the first to buy one from him when it's ready.

In the meantime, I think we need to cut him some slack so he can get some work done.

I suggest we all chill out on the constant posts asking when it will be available.

Haha, yeah, um, i was kidding. Sorry. Sarcasm too, maybe i left the sarcasm tag off? i do that sometimes. Please dont hurt me... I didnt mean...

I just thought its funny how often this is brought up, put to bed, and then brought back up. It really is like dealing with the attention span of children, and the constant "are we there yet?" backseat chorus and the like.

Relax, you are doing fine, and everyone is with you, even if they cant stay focussed long enough to remember what they are waiting for.

Cheers.

We all just might want to give Cobra a little space. If he has a nervous break down from our harrassment, we will not get our LRBHO device. Lets just give it a rest for another 30 days.
