Fitty% 808
I experimented with heat stippling on one of my new keepshooting.com $5 S12 5rd mags I got on black Friday. It turned out very good and will do it to the others. up close how it looks compared to a normal mag how it looks on the gun
jwiedy 10
That looks pretty damn good! what did you use to do that? wood burner, soldering iron? Edited December 17, 2011 by jwiedy
Fitty% 808
I used a soldering iron. I took one tip cut it flat then cut it like a philips head screw. Then just started stippling. You can do patterns or random...I did radom because if you dont do the pattern you want perfect it wont look right. Ill take a pic of the tip I made for it and post it. RED333 1,025
Damn if that aint trick!!! My Gun Dealer wants to do my Glock like that, for $85.00. I think not now.
theorangeplanet 968
That looks great! I've been meaning to try something like that but never got around to it. I've always been intrigued since I saw one of the Bowie glocks. I really like the bark/wood grain look they do with it.
Fitty% 808
Yeah its too easy to do it yourself so dont pay someone to do it. Just get something polymer to practice on first so you get the hang of it and also to find out what kind of pattern/radom stippling you like. One thing though is it takes some time and is tedious lol. Edited December 17, 2011 by blkhwkguy
gunfun 3,931
Well now you can differentiate you magazines by feel. That's cool.
Fitty% 808
I guess so but its more for grip...and looks cool lol
jwiedy 10
I've done stippling on metal before, it gets old quick! I never thought of doing it on plastic. thanks for the idea Im gonna have to give it a whirl

CFOofEVIL 8
That's sick! That should provide just the exact amount of grip those Keep Shooting mags need. Awesome job.

Dyn 4
Honestly... I think it looks better with the half stippled half not rather than the whole thing stippled.
Fitty% 808
well to each his own right lol
Nailbomb 10,221
Honestly... I think it looks better with the half stippled half not rather than the whole thing stippled. I have to agree with the opinion, But great job nonetheless. I've been wanting to try this on one of my bulgarian thumbhole stocks.

YOT 3,743
I honestly can't think of one thing that I can't grip and hold on to that stippling would help. I guess I'm just not that into it, but to each their own.
brucey 5
Another plus: They look like they might stick to the side of the gun safes now. Who needs velcro?
coleman2 2
Be careful on stippling a glock to much and the mag wont come out and cause problems
Fitty% 808
I did my Promag 12rd drum today.... Im going to do the rest too....one a day and there is my new S&W Governor!

Fitty% 808
Yeah...stippling between the ribs on the promag makes for a good looking pattern. When I get my 20rd drum I'll do the same.

theorangeplanet 968
Made this my project tonight. This was my first attempt at some stippling and the third mag I've done tonight. It's a little time consuming, but it looks pretty cool and definitely aids in reloading.
Fitty% 808
good stuff......yeah it is time consuming but worth the look and feel.
