mancat 2,368
One near me was selling new Saiga rifles for over $600 even when they were flying off the shelves at various online retailers for $299. Sad thing is, people did buy them. Uninformed buyers make profits. Edited February 14, 2012 by mancat
YOT 3,743
Ask him if they do transfers. Just pay for it yourself and have it shipped there and pay his small transfer fee. That's how I got mine. The only State tax I payed was on his fee, too.

jcx39 28
I would have had to laugh out loud in his face. A mark up in one thing. Highway robbery is another. I could see making a 100 dollar profit but that is over twice what you can get them for.
poolingmyignorance 2,191
I've seen stock 762 saigas as high as 900 here in houston. Which was really funny cause the place was pretty reasonable on supressor prices. Guess they had to make up the difference somewhere.

danklab 57
There's a shop near me with an unconverted S-12 sitting around priced at like 900 and change. Needless to say, it will be sitting on the shelf for a long time to come.
datrowl 111
well, at least you know where to get yours for the end of the world... it'll still be there by then
Shankspony 40
I did pay a hefty price for my IZ-107 ($700) but that's the item I wanted, and I was very informed after several months of research. I would not have gone higher, and $850 for the sporting carbine is atrocious.
Roger Roger 2
Around here, Southern California, .223-7.62 go for about $400-$450 new, which is typical Cali mark up. But for some reason they try to sell the S12 for about $850-$950 new, no way in hell will I pay that.
preparehandbook 326
My LGS is awesome, I have guns transfered to it all the time, but also buy from them. They can usually price match, but sometimes I have to pay $20 more, but it is worth it because they give me lot's of breaks on other guns and if I didn't support them I might end p having to but form the morons across town (who swore they could modify a beretta into a 1911 for me, for the low, low price of $800)
