Skiluvr03 24
Anybody know a reputable place to buy a vented gas tube? All the places I checked are out of stock and I think they are being held up at customs? I had read that somewhere. I can get the non-vented, but I want the vented. Maybe I should get the non-vented before you can't get them?
timy 1,185
It's all just a matter of appearance anyway. I've seen it mentioned that you can drill them yourself.

Live2Ride 12
Just curious. is there an advantage to having a vented Gas tube? or is it just for looks?
G O B 3,516
The benefit is cleaner operation on full auto. Semi auto it is not really needed.
Skiluvr03 24
The benefit is cleaner operation on full auto. Semi auto it is not really needed. This is my understanding too; I was wanting one solely for looks. I did order a non-vented last night. I got such a good deal that if I have to have a vented one down the road, I will get it then. I have a galil type handguard that is losing it's patience and i had to get the ball rolling here. Edited August 21, 2012 by AK Okie

red308 54
You can make your own vented gas tube with a drill and a small bit. take it slow and steady and you will be fine.

My thoughts exactly! Go slow and drill your own, remember it is mostly for looks on semi fired rifles.
