Dad2142Dad 6,559
So just got back from VA. Moving my last child out of the house. She was supposed to be going to Paris Island, but worked her ass off while in delayed entry program and scored the Marine Corp. ROTC scholarship. 180K will get her a Mech. Engineer degree at ODU. Could not be more proud. Can't wait for when she puts on 2nd LT. Bar. Tearing as I type this.

XD45 7,124
That's awesome. Just tell her to listen to her staff ncos. They know their shit. And the rank gets respect no matter what but the person has to earn it. I saluted them all but for some I actually meant it.

sjgusmc21 850
Good for you Dad and even better for her! I did two tours at OCS as a DI, but their they are called Sgt Instructors. She will have a hoot. Use to love the WOC's. Most of the male instructors were gun shy with them..not me. Treated them all the same and they ate it up. That is what they wanted. A Marine is a Marine is a Marine. A GREAT BIG CONGRATS!
David Mark 2,452
Big congratulations to you, your wife and especially your daughter. When my daughter graduated college last month a buddy of mine told me "Mission Accomplished". Time for you and the mrs. to enjoy being empty nesters and bask in the glow of a job well done!
