james lambert 3,059
Just what Government agency would give up a $200.00 tax on every product sold country wide. And the associated bureaucracy to regulate and control such?? This aint gonna happen

jerry52 893
Unless it is hidden in another bill this will never happen. Even if we had a republican President it would not be signed into law.

And the associated bureaucracy to regulate and control such?? What they would want to do is make it a point of sale tax that the store collects. More money in for the ATF. They might get behind that. Heartbreaker 1,085
Even if they lowered the tax to say, $20, so many more would be sold that they would make more than before.

Throwing them a bone to let us get the steak.

Kill the tax later.

I've got a couple of ideas bouncing around in my head if this flies. I think the good idea you have is to get a hobby CNC mill for similar money and do mono core baffles. p.s. I've been using makerspace lately they are awesome, and you should check them out. You can use skills and tools that might be just out of reach otherwise. Google might show one near you. Heartbreaker 1,085
I wonder if a flat coil spring would make a good baffle. Could be easier than making your own.

Good thought, but I can get machine time for a favor, as well as the services of a master machinist/mechanical engineer who is a former Beretta employee if I need it. Just not often.
