Here are some considerations regarding the effectiveness of riot gear: Protection of Officers: Riot gear is designed to provide a layer of protection for law enforcement officers against physical harm, projectiles, chemical agents, and other hazards present during riot control situations. Properly worn and maintained riot gear can significantly reduce the risk of injury to officers. However, it's important to note that no gear is entirely foolproof, and determined individuals or large crowds can still pose a threat. Control of Crowds: Riot gear can be effectiv

I mean that is likely the best way to do it. There is a fella on Gunbroker now selling one of Tony's SBS guns trying to find where the price point is.
-
Post it on GunBroker with an insanely high reserve price. Then if it hits what you think you want to sell it for, you can send an offer to the highest bigger to see if they want it for the price they posted. Then you'll know EXACTLY what the market says it's worth.

What about using that metal stick stuff you can melt with a torch and then drill out? I don't know if it would hold up to a gun barrel worth of stresses... But it likely wouldn't damage anything as it's only torch hot, not welded hot. Just a thought. And if it did blow out into the gas block it would still be easily removable.

If you're having a gunsmith assemble your parts into a final firearm. If they're worth the money you are paying them, they will know exactly what needs to be done with the parts you give them to make it as accurate as possible with the parts they have. Shouldn't be any more complicated than that. -
Has this forum been abandoned, or everyone lost interest ? We need to stick together and fight against this fraudulent voters regime or we will not have any weapons to defend ourselves against tyranny. This regime is bankrupting and imprisoning their opponents, and what will happen if they take away our second amendment? The same thing will happen, which happened in China, Soviet Union, Cambodia, Nazi Germany. Concentration camps and executions.

I know it's been "a while" since I've been here, but life happens. Hope everyone is doing well. I have a rather odd question that so far has eluded answers. Here goes, is the extractor supposed to hold the round in place on your bolt (if not on the rifle) or should the rounds be able to move around a bit and even fall out of say the extractor is towards the ground? I've observed some rather interesting things on some of my American 5.56 AK's and want to hear from you guys.

Improperly loaded shells can damage your shotgun in several ways. Mismatched projectiles or excessive weight can create excess pressure, leading to barrel bulges, cracks, or even catastrophic failure. Objects not designed as shotgun ammunition can have unpredictable flight paths, making them inaccurate and dangerous. Some materials like metal ball bearings from TBS Bearings can ricochet off surfaces, posing a serious risk to yourself and others around you. -

Double-check that the magazines you're using are compatible with your specific firearm model. Even reputable brands like SGM might have slight variations between generations that could cause feeding problems. Inspect the magazines for any damage to the feed lips (the raised areas that guide the shell into the chamber). Dents, bends, or warping can cause feeding issues.

For the folding stock are you planning on doing the AK 100 series side folder ? https://atlanticfirearms.com/ak-100-series-side-folding-polymer-stock-assembly-plum-us Or are you thinking more of an ACE style ? folder https://palmettostatearmory.com/ace-ak-folding-stock-mechanism-with-boss-black-a500-k.html https://www.carolinashooterssupply.com/ACE-MPX-AKFX-Rail-Skeleton-Stock-p/ace-mpx-stock.htm Also if you go down to 12" you'll likely have to do gas block/ port work to run reliably.

I converted mine over a decade ago and don't want to lead you astray. A friendly word of warning...there is conflicting information out there and telling the difference between good and bad advice is challenging. Search this forum extensively and practice a light touch. Certain parts are unobtanium and you do not want to bogger something by removing too much metal, enlarting ports too much, etc. I had Pauly polish my BCG and the job was so effective at lowering friction I had to get my gas system under control. Root around here and I think some of the experienced professionals will

I picked up a Saiga 12 (sporter configuration) at a pawn shop that looks unfired. It has a Tapco pistol grip and collapsible stock that seems to have been added as the surface of the earth was cooling. I have been reading here trying to get a handle on what it takes to turn this into the gun I want. I am a shotgun guy through and through but this is my first AK style gun of any kind. I have built dozens of AR's and have most of the popular "tactical" shotguns offered today. I hadn't seen a Saiga at a price I was willing to pay until I stumbled on this one. $750 out the door and it seems unfi
