  1. Yes I saw Saigas selling like hot cakes at a gun show this past weekend with only a new front hand guard and muzzle brake and they had 700 on them. Go to any local gun show and you could make a killing. Good luck, Merritt SGT USMC vet.
  2. Will you have a AK-74 style muzzle brake attachment. The flash suppressor looks cool but I would like a muzzle brake to keep the front end of my rifle down. Also what is your cost going to be looking like? Thank you, Merritt SGT USMC vet.
  3. Looks very good. A lot like mine with some vents Good job, Merritt
  4. I just traded an 870 in for the 91/30 below. It's a 1942 that does not appear to have ever been fired. Rifling is perfect and no apparent wear anywhere else. I can't wait. Merritt SGT USMC vet.
  5. So will it work???? I'm going to a gun show today and wanted to pick up a muzzle brake if this will work. Please let me know. One thing I noticed is it doesn't come with the pressed in retainer pins the K-var FSB does. Thanks, Merritt
  6. I sat down for about 2 hours with my stock hand guard and a dremel. Best part is people are selling these right and left for a very low price so if you mess up you can always get another cheap. For the paint it is Rust-o-luem textured paint for plastic. It's holding up pretty well. I am pretty abusive on my fire-arms as I practice with them all on a regular basis. Side effect from weapons handling as an occupation. It's got a few chips off the pistol grip but everywhere else is holding up well. Good luck, Merritt SGT USMC vet.
  7. I painted all my furniture as none of it was the exact same color when it came in. By mwroseberry, shot with FinePix A345 at 2008-11-16 There is mine.
  8. Tromix that is on this sight does this conversion. Just go to there website and look at the rifles they have for sale. I'm sure they will do it for you but I have a feeling they are pricey. They also sell the parts and both the front and rear sight they have listed for $95.00 Good luck, Merritt
  9. That's like putting Jessica Biel naked in front of a married man. No matter how hard you resist it's going to happen and you're going to love it so you might as well get it over with . Good luck on the conversion and congrats on the new weapon.
  10. I've been waiting on this sight for some time but it looks at that price range I'm probably going to have to go with: http://www.tromix.com/images/saiga-parts/HKsights-thm.jpg I could justify 75-85 as I'm still going to need a bulgarian front sight block and muzzle brake. But I might as well remove the front sight block and go with a threaded barrel and muzzle brake. I hope you can come down on the price so I won't have to go that direction. Also I was the one that emailed you guys about doing R&D for you. Thanks, Merritt SGT USMC vet.
  11. Just buy the tapco and be done with it. Very easy to install. Have on in my Saiga. Good luck
  12. no not required as long as you use stock or surefire mags. But you may need to add parts with stock mags in order to be compliant as the mags are not made in the US.
  13. Dam I guess I might actually have to do this myself or I'll never get a good nights sleep. If it isn't too much trouble, is there a kit thats affordable and that comes with everything I need? I want quality parts just nothing too expensive. If so, can you please point me in the right dirrection? Thanks in advance. Will cost you about $100 even. A little more if you go for a better pistol grip or butt stock. Everything is just personal preferance. I went with a K-var nato butt stock as I'm taller and need something a little longer. And went with a CAA pistol grip because it felt the
  14. You are going to need a new trigger. If I was you since you don't have to worry about 922 I would do a complete CAA setup. I would get everything CAA except the butt stock and I would go with a K-var Nato length on it. If you are a shorter a standard or swing away would be fine but I'm 6'2" and the nato is plenty short for me. Good luck and I loved converting mine.
  15. Very true you have your irons but they are closer together which makes them less accurate as the tech sights. (how far down 36 are you?)
  16. Very nice hud for an AK. I have a problem with any sight that requires batteries to operate. I'm waiting on this. http://www.tech-sights.com/ Just my 0.02. If you want some sort of optic though that fits the AK the best of any.
  17. Kimber is a great gun for the range as the tolerances are so tight that it is accurate. Kimber's however spend most of there life at a custom shop if you carry them and run alot of rounds through them as I do. You'd be better off getting a cheap 1911 like a RIA or Taurus and as funds allow it get a Fusion slide, and barrel and start building a custom gun. Don't get me wrong the Kimber's are nice but with tolerance that tight I want something that I know for a fact will go bang when I pull it. Good luck devil, Merritt SGT USMC vet.
  18. By mwroseberry, shot with FinePix A345 It's my carry piece but I'm also 6'2" and 200lbs so I can hide it better than some.
  19. Muzzle brake is to keep the front end down for a follow up shot. I'm going to have mine done here before long. It's more for hammer pairs and other tactical shooting. Not for cold bore shots that you want.
  20. Glad to see you've come to your sences devil. Welcome to the dark side Merritt SGT USMC vet.
  21. http://www.taurususa.com/products/product-...tegory=Revolver Take one of those and call me in the morning.
  22. I already have hogue grips on mine. As you can see in the picture. I love them they fit my hand well as I'm a taller guy with larger hands. Thanks, Merritt

  24. Convert it now. Thank me later..... :-D.... Like everyone says it's much easier to do than you'd think it would be. Good luck and glad you are happy with with your new addiction.
